After everything the Knicks went through, to get the #2 seed is a testament to how tough and gritty this team is. I don't know how far they can go without Randle, but we'll see. In the playoffs, defenses tighten, so they'll need more scoring from "the others" to take the load off Brunson. Philly with a healthy Embed is a problem...I'd prefer to face Miami.

After everything the Knicks went through, to get the #2 seed is a testament to how tough and gritty this team is. I don't know how far they can go without Randle, but we'll see. It's starts with Miami first for Philly. I'm not sure if Miami can just keep flipping the switch every year. If this was a 7 game series, I'd pick Philly without a doubt. But in a 1 game matchup, anything can happen. Miami is going to go zone and Philly is going to forget how to play offense smh. But, I just don't think Miami can score with Philly outside of getting hot from deep. Rozier had a neck injury and Robinson had a back injury that kept them out of lasgame and Love left in the game with a arm contusion. So, even if they all play, they will be hampered.


I like our chances against New York. If we shrink down to 8-9 guys, I'm okay with Batum, Reed, Hield(if he's making shots) . Just wish that Melton was healthy. It'll be nice to have 3 solid guards who can handle. I think Lowry can do a solid job on Brunson. If we can somewhat contain Brunson, I'm not sure NY can go basket for basket with Philly's offense. What scares me about NY is that they are going to dominate the boards and play a very physical brand of basketball. Embiid has gotten better this year with rebounding. Last year, his effort was horrible on the boards. But, he can get easily boxed out and everyone else just stands there expecting Embiid to just get it. Embiid is going to need to finally have a Playoff moment and bring it every night.

I'd rather faced the Bucks. With the uncertainty of Giannis and consistent health of others, lack of depth, and Dame on the decline, I feel like that would've been a more favorable matchup for Philly. I think who ever wins the Phi-NY series has a good chance of making the ECF. Depending on Giannis health, I could see Pacers taking that series.

That's what concerns me the most...can DiVincenzo be that secondary scorer?

That's why I can see why the preference might be Miami. With Philly, you have 2 guys who can score 30+(Maxey and Embiid), and 2 more who can theoretically go for 16+(Harris and Oubre). Unless shots aren't falling, Philly isn't dependent on role players scoring. Philly can get 80-90 points just from their top 4. I think NY matches up so well with Miami. They can throw OG on Jimmy and Hart on Herro. They just would been to contain Rozier and hope the role players don't get hot.

Terry Rozier is listed out for tomorrow. Robinson and other guys are likely to play

Not having Rozier could be big for Philly. Rozier is the type of guy who always goes off against Philly. One less scorer to worry about for Philly.

I don’t think they have a shot regardless, but it’s in their best interest to play Denver first round and not after LeBron has played through two playoff series already.
