If so, he could be out for all of next season as well.. Terrible situation where most likely their season is over and have to make tough decisions decisions financially. Likely no Giannis and Tatum next year in the East. Feels like East will be up for grabs

Looks like it'll be a Pacers-Knicks Conference Finals

Very tough for Tatum if it's what's feared. He was a force tonight.

Great win for the Knicks.. had to prove they can play with Boston. Just get one more.

Definitely a torn achilles for Tatum. Non contact, couldn't put weight on it. I keep seeing everyone see season ending for next year, but I always thought 8-10 months was the time frame to get back on the court from an achilles. I know KD missed a whole season, but I thought that was more Brooklyn not rushing him back than him not being cleared? Kobe came back from a torn achilles in 8 months at 37 years old. Originally I was thinking Tatum would be out til mid February.

Changes were already coming in the offseason regardless of how we finished. If the Celtics repeated, I could see them trying to justify only getting below the 2nd apron. I think both Jrue and KP are gone, Horford either retires or signs elsewhere for one last ring chase, and no way we keep Kornet. I've been seeing plenty of fans calling for a Jaylen Brown trade and unless they plan on tanking next season I don't get that move, JB, Derrick White, Pritchard and some pieces they can get from the KP/Jrue trades would be enough to compete for a low seed or play in, then if Tatum can make it back at the end of the season you have the makings for a run.

I don't see Celtics going full tank, but with new ownership anything is possible. Just sucks for Tatum though.

Definately sucks for Tatum. Seeing him on the floor realizing he just suffered the infamous achilies tear was sad to watch. Hopefully he recovers. Players have shown they can recover pretty well from it now.

That was the hardest part to watch. He's so young though. Every player that Rush back from injury or probably took pain killers for the injury. I literally hate this type of injury.

Credit to Pacers. They are 42-16 since start of 2025. Feels like they didn't get their flowers from reaching the ECF last year because of Brunson's hand injury. But, two straight ECF trips for them. They have become a legitimate defense that can match their frenetic offense. Should be a good matchup with the Knicks and Pacers.

OKC with a mature win last night. Hoping that OKC and Minn can close out their series. That way the Conference finals will feature the new era

Ayyy Knicks aren't there JUST yet. Still got to close it out and if the Celtics are playing motivated they still have the talent to hang with them, even without JT. It would be nice to get SOMETHING out of KP tho, him not playing the entire 2nd half is telling. I don't see how Mazzula runs him out in the starting lineup for Game 6 knowing we need a spark.

Celtics aren't going down without a fight. New York has to close this out Game 6.

I hope the Thunder can take the next step tonight.

Man, what a showing by Denver tonight. I was wondering if Jokic had anything left in the tank after the last game and tough loss to OKC. This has been a masterful performance, and what about that explosion by Strather? Whoa! They better be ready in Game 7.

Why is game 7 on a Sunday afternoon?

Aaron Gordon is most likely going to miss Game 7 with the hamstring strain.

New York is leaving no doubt.

Hoping OKC wins Game 7. It'll be nice to have 4 "new" teams in the Conference Finals. I think it's good for the league when it's not just the same teams all the time. Not just for parity, but for the new era to take the baton. With the older guys like Bron, Curry, and Durant are nearing the end and current stars in the early 30s, it's good for the 23-27 year old stars to be in the position to win the title.

If the Finals ends up being a choice between the Knicks winning a ring or Russell Westbrook winning a ring...please just save me from that.

I dislike Russ, but I'm still rooting for Denver and Minnesota over the remaining teams. Would be cool if New York won, but their fanbase is already insufferable without winning a Larry O in half a century.
