    Re: Dunleavy Jr. Ejection

Why is this game getting so much attention?

I mean the ref's had a few bad calls but that happens in just about every NBA game now so whats the big deal?

Dallas wasn't even threatend by the Warriors after the first qtr so the ref's played no factor. I'm sure they will screw other teams as the season unfolds but hey what can you do about it?

Shoulder charge someone? He didn't shoulder charge any more than what Dirk or Kobe or TMac does on a consistent basis. While the Warriors would have lost, even if the refs had called a decent game, how can you deny the fact that everytime Dirk wails his arms or falls down, the calls go in his favor? This is why I have grown to dislike Dirk; people consider him a true elite player but no elite player should have to do that posession after posession to get points/fouls on the opposite team.

the officials agree with me because a foul was called on the play because of the shoulder charge.

                    WTF???

Dirk doesnt get that many calls.

Ive certainly rarely seen him get as many calls as he did in the Warrior game, but Golden State was all over him. Teams try and rough up Dirk and its good to see the refs finally call some fouls in his favor. Maybe teams will stop mugging him so much.

                        this is pretty funny

the refs didnt lose the game for Golden State. Dallas only had two more shooting fouls go their way than the Warriors. Golden State had 34 free throw attempts to Dallas's 36 free throw attempts. Also, in case you forgot -Josh Howard fouled out. The foul calls were not one sided.

The facts that Dallas outrebounded the Warriors and that the Warriors were 2-23 from 3 point land were the reasons that Golden State lost, not the officials.

and Quit complaining about the refs. The Mavericks do not feel sorry for you. They have been screwed by the refs plenty (as have most teams in the league not called the Spurs)

I'm objective here (neither a fan of the Mavs or GS) but I agree with this assessment. It was a good effort defensively by Dunleavy and in a rough game where both teams are doing s**t to each other, let em play. When the calls are one-sided, I dont blame Dunleavy for going off.

Golden State had 27 personal fouls and the Mavericks had 25. That does not back up a statement that the calls were one-sided.

The Warriors had 34 free throw attempts while the Mavs had 36. That hardly means that the calls were one sided.

Josh Howard fouled out and he didnt get himself ejected. Dunleavy was ejected after his 3rd foul. The bottom line is that Dunleavy hurt his team by being tossed. Golden State was 2-23 from three point distance and i would assume that they would have been a lot better from tre' land if Mike was not ejected.
