Abdur-Rahim . . I didn't even think of him. I think that that is a very strong possibility, depending on how much he thinks he should make. The Nets are currently on the books for about $33 mil next year, so well under the salary cap. But they need to resign RJ. That's their main priority. The only players they have on contract for next season is JKidd, VC, Ron Mercer, Nenad Krstic, and Zoran Planinic. With the resigning of RJ, that should push them into the $40 mill range, so they won't have very many options after that.

RJ is already locked up for 6 yrs I think. I really think Abdur-Rahim has a lot of money and just wants to be in the playoffs for once. Donyell Marshall is another guy that could do something for us. Ron Mercer could be gone by the summer.

Donyell has already said he thinks NJ is a place he will look at this offseason. Swift is going to NO....they will have a ton of money and are willing to pay him. SAR is a possible pickup for NJ, but its still up in the air. With Zach and Khryapa as Portlands PFs, there is no reason for them to hold onto SAR. Hopefully he will join NJ.



Nets are in good shape. They aren't in cap hell, have 3 awesome players, have some quality draft picks in their possesion and Krstic is really coming along to be a great player.

Are you sure that RJ is locked up? I pretty sure the Nets would do that, if not already did that, but I was looking at HoopsHype.com to check out NBA team salaries and it doesn't look like it yet.
