well the preseason started today with a close loss @ nj, good to see artest finally back on the court and bender healthy with 13 points in 17 minutes

the first season without reggie is gonna be tough for me personally but im expecting 50+ wins and a central division title this year if everyone stays healthy (and avoids long suspensions)

I read on indystar.com that artest might be coming off the bench this year instead of starting. That will be real intresting to see. If they stay healthy, I can see them winning 60+ games this year

what? why? hes easily the 2nd best player on the team, who did they say would start at sg/sf? (wherever jack doesnt play) fred jones? come on, im not from indy so i dont get the local media coverage but this seems ridiculous-the best defensive player in the nba today who can also give you 20 a night on the bench? i just dont see it

pacers beat the jazz last night, artest (in 35 minutes ), jasikevicius, and croshere put up good numbers and granger played his first game

pacers win the opener by 12, pretty balanced effort, ron didnt shoot well and jermaine led the team with 19 pts, my only surprise was jasikevicius only getting 9 minutes, oh yeah-it was nice to see a healthy contribution from croshere and bender back on the court in a meaningful game for the first time in a long time

im definitely looking forward to an early season showdown with the heat tomorrow

another good win tonight-im not at all happy with the 4th quarter but the first 3 were awesome, thank god for jermaine in the last 4 minutes

if you were watching tnt on tuesday charles and reggie were arguing whether indiana could win the east and charles used the argument that they didnt have a go-to guy in the clutch, and reggie rebutted with JO

i made sure to watch halftime of the LAL-PHO game on tnt after the pacers game and charles didnt mention a thing about JO, just thought it was kinda funny, maybe theyll bring it up on inside the nba after both games

well the combination of an 0-3 sixers team that got killed by charlotte last night and the pacers home opener should equate to a blowout win tonight

Pretty pathetic effort tonight by the Pacers. These are games they must win. Philly had struggled in their first 3 games....on the backend of a back to back....and it's the Pacers home opener and we lose. It's a long season and there will be some bad loses along the way but not a great way to start at home.

yeah no kidding the defense was atrocious for the first 3 quarters, very un-pacer like performance

wow, its killing me to watch this sorry excuse the pacers are calling a defense these last couple games, i cant remember the last time they gave up so many easy buckets and offensive rebounds , hopefully it changes in the last quarter and a half

well, right after i posted the previous message the defense went on a tear and the pacers get their first home win of the year by 5 points, the shot by sarunas with 10-15 seconds left was huge, but other than that and artest down low, the offense didnt look too great, especially in the 2nd half

dont get me wrong though, i'll take the win any day

rpac, you seem to be holding this thread down on your own.

Just wanted to drop in and say I'm pulling for the Pacers in the East (probably because Artest is my favorite player not in a rockets uniform). Houston is my team, but with T-Mac going down it is going to be a long month for Rockets fans.

Anyways, I hope you guys dominate the East this year and crush Detroit.

We got to stop digging ourselves into a hole like we have the last 2 games. If we have to keep coming back like that it will eventually take a toll on the team. But, a wins a win and a nice 2-0 series lead against Miami.
