Duncan, Ginobili, & Parker, Year 5 (06-07 Spurs)

We have our 15 Man Roster... and I believe it will look like this...

C - Fransisco Elson - Will play no more than 20 minutes a game, just need solid rebounding.
PF - Tim Duncan - After his playoff performance, I think Duncan is back in prime shape, unlike '06.
SF - Bruce Bowen - Will get good practice for Team USA, and will probably All Defensive Team.
SG - Manu Ginobili - Playing in the Summer will get him the practice he lacks every offseason.
PG - Tony Parker - Same goes for Tony, and hopefully with his perfected jumper, he adds a 3pter.

6 - Michael Finley - Needs to play like he did in the post-season, meaning he needs confidence.
7 - Brent Barry - A good 1, 2, or 3. Needs to get back up to the good ol' days behind the arc.
8 - Matt Bonner - Will be used to keep the Duncan-double teaming under control. He hits the 3.
9 - Jacque Vaughn - Not Nick Van Exel, but Spurs should be happy they don't have to use Udrih.
10 - Jackie Butler - Young 21 year old can learn a thing or two from Tim Duncan.
11 - Robert Horry - Relied upon for clutch shooting purposes only. Spurs have their big men now.
12 - Beno Udrih - Will show heavy improvement after summer games. Can play backup next year.

R - Eric Williams - Solid contributer if any Spur should have to rest or take time off. Great pickup.
R - Fabricio Oberto - At the peak age, but hopefully can learn a thing or two playing this summer.
R - Melvin Sanders - Has showed the will to play in the NBA. Hopefully he can build off that.

    Prediction: 64-18 (1st in West)

If only Manu had more possessions and plays around him, he'd be a star easily, but that's what's keeping him back. He is IMO easily as good as the best of the best, because he not only does what the bigger names do, but he contributes to the team as needed. I always notice him having low FGA per game, when compared to kobe or lebron having more than 20 at times, and that's why nobody looks at him as a huge superstar.

Anyways, Manu needs to be injury-free and I'm sure he will bring the spurs back to a threatening position in the playoffs. I though he was slow this past season and it hurt the spurs.

Oh and if Parker is more consistent, this spurs team could be the best in the league.

yeah haha. I guess a lot of people still don't trust international players. And a lot of people just throw him off for his flopping. He's still one of my favorite ballers.

Last year Back-to-Backs were a huge killer to the Spurs because of old age. This season, the Spurs have even more... we have 16 of them!!! Last year there were only 14.

Thank God, there are only 3 in the last 2 months of the season.

Whatever. I'm like your friends. He plays with the most dominant player in the league. If you play on the same team as Shaq or Duncan, you are damn near guaranteed to look good. That goes for Parker too.

How does that explain him going off against France (15 of Argentina's first 31 points)... and he is playing beside Nooch and Delfino... thats some big names right there, huh?

Hey not arguing man. I just don't thing Ginobli fans give Duncan enough credit to how much he makes everyone on the team better.

In the international game people like Carlos Arroyo are stars. That doesn't prove anything

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Vaughn is one of the worst PGs in the league. Udrih should easily be infront of him in the depth chart.

Ugghh... I guess I would be the only person who would jump for joy to see Beno go in some kind of trade somewhere. I just don't like what he has to bring to the team. He is inexperienced, and makes a lot of mistakes. He doesn't have the dribbling/passing that a PG needs, and... he doesn't play good defense, which becomes useless when your starter already doesn't play good defense.

I don't know man. I thought Udrih was good, but they didn't let him play much last year.

I would love if this was a true story, more than anyone else... hopefully for my sake, and the Spurs sake, you are right.
