    2006-2007 Official Cavaliers Thread

Well, I figured we needed a new thread for the new year.

Of course, I would have liked to have started it with better news, but Michael Reghi has been fired by the Cavs:

Longtime Cavaliers television broadcaster Michael Reghi was dumped Wednesday as play-by-play voice by the team, which hired former Detroit Pistons announcer Fred McLeod to replace him.

Reghi had been the Cavs lead TV announcer for 12 seasons - during the last 10, he called games on cable network FSN Ohio and WUAB Channel 43. The Cavaliers bought out the remaining two years on Reghi's current contract, according to sources.

"I am extremely disappointed and disillusioned by the timing of my removal as the Cavaliers television play-by-play announcer," Reghi said in a written statement Wednesday.

Can't complain too much so far. I miss Reghi and I need to get used to the court, but on the court they are doing very good so far

I'm just reading impressions... cant watch the game here in Maryland. Looks like Doc is using some screwy lineups and started Gomes who cant defend a banger, then puts in Telfair and Rondo TOGETHER for a backcourt with an average height of 6 feet. I dunno what are you cleveland guys seeing

                  The dynasty will return

C's youngins look strong. Green, Jefferson, Perkins and Allen are all starting to look like NBA vets.

My brother is telling me good things about Rondo as well.

Drew Gooden was a beast in the 1st quarter. Lebron looks good. The Cavs had too many 3 seconds in the paint.

Doc is going to have problem when West comes back with Rondo, Telfair, Allen fighting for minutes.

Rondo didn't have that lost/timid look most rooks sport. The Celtics could be dangerous.

Finally, more cutting, quicker rotation, more involvement of the bigs...the Cavs offense is going to be off the hook. Sadly, the interior D is still as soft as baby poop.

I'm so freaking excited after watching the Tel Aviv game...

The one thing that made me the most excited? The Cavaliers and Mike Brown have implemented the Triangle offense, and a Triangle secondary break. It worked absolutely beautifully whenever we used it. He took my favorite thing from the NBA (The Triangle) and put it in, in the most effective way.

I'm expecting big things this year.
