Some good news right there...anything that has to do with Mitch Kupchak doing less work is good news for the Lakers.

Re: Official Lakers 2006-2007 Thread
Looking at the rest of the Lakers' schedule for March and April.. they have NO excuse not to eclipse their win total from last season (45). I'd be extremely disappointed if they didn't win at least 48 games.. their remaining schedule is pretty damn generous.Comment

Horrible lost in a game the wolves practically served up on a silver platter.
-Smush misses free throws to ice the game in regulation and OT
- Turnovers on inbounds passes
- A 3 on 1 fast break in the making that never was because of a dumb, unnecessary past
-Shot clock violations galore
I wouldn't be so mad about this stuff if they were mistakes that high school bball players know not to make. Pippen is probably at home expecting a call tonightFavorite Teams:
CFB: Ohio State Buckeyes
NFL: San Francisco 49ers
NBA: Los Angeles Lakers
MLB: San Francisco GiantsComment

After all that, they drop a game at home to the Grizz of all teams. The sad part was how the whole team took the night off after they went up 15 and Memphis just got better. The team needs to give better help to Kobe than they did last night - geezComment

Re: Official Lakers 2006-2007 Thread
Damn, what a forgettable season. Just to keep things in context, I'll keep it short.
Smush- *F.A*., he's gone. Too lackadasical, never shows any type of emotion, except when he's pouting, and far too inconsistent for my taste.
Kobe- Showed flashes of what his passing can lead to as far as overall team success. Mitch do something!
Walton- *F.A.*, Mitch needs to re-sign him almost at all costs. He's an expirienced player in the triangle, and really compliments Mr. Bryant quite well.
Lamar- Yeah, yeah yeah he had a great game tonight.. but like Chuck said, he's too damn talented to only have a handful of games like tonight's. I honestly want him here, but Mitch may have to pull the trigger. Not even for KG, I wouldn't mind putting a package together for something else.
Kwame- *F.A. after next season*, obviously didn't workout the way management had hoped. He's o.k., but can't be depended upon in crunchtime. I don't know where his future lies beyond next season.
Farmar- Stepped in to the starting role at the end of the season.. didn't too bad of a job. I personally would pencil him in as the starter next season. He's got the mental capacity to handle the point guard duties.. I really like his game and energy.
Mo Evans- *F.A. after next season*, wow Mitch actually did something right for a change. He needs to be the consistent 6th man with consistent minutes, because he proved that he can be depended upon for points, defense, energy, rebounding.
Andrew Bynum- Mitch must make a tough decision this off-season. I personally believe Andrew will be a solid player, I just don't see All-Star games in his future. So while other GM's still believe otherwise, I say trade him for anything you can get. Andrew just lacks the fire and presence that a franchise player is supposed to posess.
Shammond Williams- *F.A.*, Mitch re-sign him as a backup guard. Phil needs to give him more time because he's a decent player.
Ronny Turiaf- *F.A.*, Mitch re-sign him at all costs. We need him on this team for obvious reasons.. Phil needs to play him a lot more.
Brian Cook- Ugggh, management re-signed the wrong player in Cook rather than Walton. Cookie is signed for another three seasons! Mitch needs to trade him if at all possible. Cook plays no D, and his offense convieniently disappears. Why oh why would you sign Cookie AND Vlade?? They are the same exact fuc_ing players! Ugggh.
Sasha- Pesky defender, decent outside shooter. I hope L.A. can sign a point guard, but I feel confident with a Farmar, Williams, Sasha point guard corps.
Vlade- I like Vlade over Cookie, unfortunately both of them are signed to long term deals. Hopefully Vlade can just get healthy.
Chris Mihm- *F.A.*, ya know, I wouldn't mind seeing him come back if at all possible, especially if Bynum is moved. Mihm could serve as a solid backup center.
Basically the Lakers lacked a cohesive offensive attack, perimeter defense, interior toughness, and rebounding. So not much. LOL! Lots of questions in Lakerland, I'm excited about the off-season.Comment

Re: Official Lakers 2006-2007 Thread
Time to go after J. O'Neal.
I'd love to get KG but the chances of McHale trading him to the Lakers are remote at best.
I know Kobe wants JON and I think a deal could be worked out...would love to get him without giving up Lamar. I doubt that could happen though.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment
