    Boston Celtics: Number 17

Well I didn't see any threads up for the Celtics.

    Tonight:

    Celtics: 109
    Cavs: 93

    Tommy Award- Rondo

Rondo looks like the real deal but we need to remember it was only one game.

Rondo kicked butt tonight. 29 Pts 4 Reb and 5 Ast

And Green has looked pretty good so far. Hopefully he ends up being the real deal.

Well with the Jackson trade is Danny working on something else.

We have so much talent at pg, sg, and sf:

        Telfair
        West
        Rondo
        Allen
        Green
        Wally
        Ray
        Jackson
        Pierce

At least two of these guys going are going to have to be dealt. I think that at the trade deadline in Feb Wally, West and Allen might get traded.

Well the season starts tonight. What are you guys expectations for this season? Im thinking around 40 wins this year depending on how some of our young players develop. If this team is on pace for a low 30's win season then I think there might be some major changes coming, mainly Doc gone and then a new coach coming in and trading away players that don't fit his system. I think a trade is bound to happen because we just have to many people in our front court.

Hopefully Green, West, Jefferson, and Perkins can all develop and improve this season. If we don't see any improvments then I'll call this season a major disappointment and there will need to be changes.

Here's to a good season dedicated to Red.

Nice tribute to Red there with Pierce talking and the bagpipes.

This team needs to start over from scratch. Doc isn't the right coach for this team, he just doesn't know what to do in the 4th quarter and we end up losing. And Pierce is a double edged sword. He wins games for us and keeps us in games to win but the rest of the team isn't good enough to win games by themselves so we'll never make it to the playoffs. But with Pierce will never be bad enough to get te # 1pick in the draft but we'll always be in the lottery.

Im just saying that if they were to trade Pierce I wouldn't be mad because we could get something in return, hopefully Pierce would go to a winning team like he deserves to be, and the C's would do bad enough to get a very low pick in the draft and hopefully get a future star.

Here's a good artcile written by Bill Simmons on Doc Rivers. I loved this statement, "Why the Celtics must keep Doc Rivers: Greg Oden 7-0 265 C Ohio St. Fr."

Seriously though it's a long article but it is worth the read.

I do think that the 2 plans that he has are pretty much are only option.

Option A: Blow everything up and trade the two best guys on the team (Pierce and Wally), then cross their fingers for Oden in May.

Option B: Keep the team together and hope Doc's replacement turns everything around (like Jim O'Brien did a few years ago).

This team needs something major to happen because I don't think were going anywhere with the people that we have now, and if were going to really rebuild we need to trade Pierce and Wally.

Celtics win 2 in a row!!!

They beat Portland 118 to 90 tonight. It was a pretty competetive game until the 4th quarter. Then Delonte West caught on fire and the our 2nd team really did a good job.

Telfair had 15 points and 7 asists which is exactly what were looking for from our PG.

This team has a whole lot of talent they just need to continue to work together. And I think Green, Rondo/Telfair, Perk, and Jefferson are all going to be a major part of this team in a few years .

Three in a row, and you can't help but feeling hopeful. Great performances all around, though Rondo struggled a bit at times. The Celtics youth outplayed the Knicks youth, and Paul Pierce was his usual dominating self. Can't wait 'til Wednesday when it's 4 in a row vs. Charlotte!

Nice win tonight to make it 3 in a row. Gomes is staring to turn into one of our better players and the one thing I like about him is that he's always near the action.

I'd rather Gomes play with the second unit though to give them more "experience". He could dominate against non-starters. We need to get Al in the starting lineup once he gets back so he can really develop his game and turn into that real low post threat we need.

Gerald Green and Al Jefferson need to be playing at least 30 minutes a night. Green is slowly starting to become the player that we all thought he could be at the beggining of the season. He leads the league in 3pt % and has improved his defense alot. And the first 5 minutes of the game last night Jefferson had 5 pts 4 rebounds and 1 block, and was the best production out of our center all year.
