So these Knicks can definitely best the teams they should beat. Wondering how much they can improve over the course of the year?

Seems like D'Antoni woke up and has Felton and STAT running the pick and roll with regularity. Still want to see better on-ball defense especially against a cutting player, but the interior defense has been much improved.

Yeah, it looks like we win when we're supposed to. I like that. Looks like the PnR is working the way we'd envisioned it. I like that too. Felton and STAT are consistent and Gallo/Chandler/Douglas are going to roll the dice to see who has a big game. That's good enough to get us a .500 record at the end of the year. What I like is that guys are having fun and bonding and things are looking enticing for prospective FA's or trades. Plus Wilson is looking good for a trade piece. As long as they keep winning around .500 and Gallo/Douglas/Chandler keep developing, I'm happy.

Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth

Things are clicking and dudes are finally playing hard and with some damn fire. The offense looks good, the D is slowly improving though we know it has a low ceiling. Some very entertaining basketball is the result.

Felton has been great for us since the PnR started working.

        18 ppg
        8 apg
        4 rpg
        2 spg
        46% FG
        38% 3PT
        90% FT

Who in the hell envisioned that after one month?

Anyway, it feels soooooo damn good to finally have the feeling again where I'm excited all day that the Knicks are on at night. Man, it's been ages since that was the case. It almost feels surreal, I mean it's been 15 years since I felt this way about the Knicks and they're pretty much a lock to be .500 at best and out in the first round of the playoffs. I can't imagine what I'll be like if they're ever contenders again.

          Another solid W.

But man, it would be soo great if our players had the slightest bit of common sense out there on defense. Like against Detroit, when Prince got the and1 on Gallo for the 3 point play at the end of the game, Gallo should know that Prince is left handed and force him to his right.

Tonight against NJ, Brook Lopez buried about 5 18 footers yet nobody would go out on him, we just kept giving him that shot. Farmar nearly shot them back into the game because after he made 3 threes in a row we kept playing off of him and losing track of him when he didn't have the ball.

But heck, 7 out of our last 8, maybe I'm just nitpicking.

All I know is that Brook Lopez is real good. I knew he was good, but last night I saw how good he could be.

He was making some tough shots inside as he was being double teamed. Yea, the team played off him in the perimeter, but I'm not sure what difference it would have made. Lopez can play.

He's good, but he had the best match up he'll probably see all year in having Amare defend him. Don't read too much into last night.

We definitely needed this home win badly.. once again Chandler play his butt off. Though he didn't defend a Top notch PF his defense was great yesterday. It's gonna be interesting to see what the knicks are gonna do with him since he's a restricted FA.

STAT another 30 pt effort. Right now he is carrying us. Since he called out the team we've been on fire & he's been a man possessed.

Ray Felton is playing like an all-star right now. Another double-double & had the PnR working. Basically took over the 3rd quarter which lead to us winning the game.

Next up NO.. Go Home Team

In addition to being guarded by Amare (mismatch), Lopez did an absolutely horrendous job on the boards.

I don't watch the Nets play often but that would burn me up if I was a Nets fan.

I think once he puts it all together, he'll be devastating. Definitely has all the tools.

I'm scared of them throwing money at him or matching a ridiculous offer by another team.

I've always liked Chandler's game, but this is the first season I've seen him with the fire. Like he actually cares.

Glad they didn't extend him over the summer.

NEW YORK -- The New York Knicks' Landry Fields and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin today were named the Eastern and Western Conference T-Mobile Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played from the start of the season (Oct. 26) through November.

Fields ranks fourth among rookies in scoring (10.8 ppg), second in rebounding (7.1 rpg), eighth in assists (1.6 apg) and second in field goal percentage (.544). He started all 19 games for the Knicks this season, leads all NBA guards in rebounds and is the only rookie in the top eight in scoring

^^For what the Knicks needed (gaping hole at SG), Field's has exceeded expectations as a rookie.

Yea, he's a perfect role player. Doesn't seem like the type to ever get caught up in thinking he deservers more. He just does the extra things.

I didn't but I'm not surprised. How easily he forgets that Blake Griffin ripped the Knicks apart.

I'm sure he was just being overly excited. Otherwise that's a lot of fishing and wishing going on there.
