Of course not. Chris Paul is one of the top PGs in the game, a legit superstar. Knicks have nothing to offer in return.

    New York Knicks won't confirm or deny report that Allan Houston will be named general manager;

Iggy Bop's post on that Daily News website sums up my feelings about Houston being the GM.

The Knicks have the ability to give NO CAP Space, by taking back Okafer's Contract because we are under the CAP, with the addition of some nice pieces.

Rumor of everyone is available except STAT for a deal for Paul is out there. If a deal can be made for Paul, you do it. I just hope it doesn't mean destroying our roster to do so..

Rather just keep what we got then give up almost every asset we have, which at this point is probably what it would take.

I'd also like to see Felton in D'Antoni's offense. Not that he's ever going to be close to Paul, but I'd like to see him get the chance to be a capable starter, and save our cap space to improve another position.

Don't want to do it at all!

N.O.'s is going to ask for too much value (and rightly so).

          Seriously, what's the difference between:
          CP3/David West/Nobody else vs.
          CP3/Amare/Nobody else

          Not much.

The Knicks need to go with what they got.

Donnie set them (and the new GM) up perfectly for 2 years down the road. I'd like Deron Williams over Paul anyway.

Wait it out. We (the fans) went thru too much crap for us to mortgage the franchise AGAIN for one player.

I personally want to see Felton as well. He's playing for his next contract (and ego- with all the Nash comparisons he'll get).

I want to see Chandler. Word is he added alot more weight to his frame to play SF more than SG.

I want Douglas in our future. I want Randolph to be a star HERE.

Hope Donnie stands pat and watches his product unfold.

Totally agree, especially now that NO is basically saying Okafer is attached to hip of any deal..

And if guys can get the jump on D'Antoni's offense, do you really need a guy like Chris Paul?

No disrespect to Paul and his game, but even Chris Duhon was at one point an assists machine when he was healthy in that offense.

Now that the CP3 stuff is @ rest for now.... Here's a nice article on AR from the NY Times

Entering his third N.B.A. season, Anthony Randolph and the word potential are nearly synonymous. With the Golden State Warriors, Randolph showed glimpses of a bright today and a sparkling tomorrow, but injuries and spats with Warriors Coach Don Nelson stagnated his basketball growth.
Anthony Randolph, 21, expects to earn minutes in the Knicks’ restocked frontline along with the team’s marquee newcomer, Amar’e Stoudemire. On Monday, Randolph met with reporters before greeting children at the Knicks’ summer basketball camp at Pace University’s Pleasantville Campus.

D'Antoni's method of handling young players has me a little concerned with AR. I feel like his psyche is still very fragile. I hope Mike finds a way to get through to him, I'm excited for his future but IMO it's a 50/50 case of him being really damn good or bust.

Not just young players, either. You wind up in his doghouse, you may never get out.

This really has NOTHING to do with the 2010-11 Knicks, but I'm watching Knicks in 60 on MSG and they're showing the '98 playoff game at MSG vs. the Miami Heat where Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning started swinging at the end of the game.

Man, the Garden is rocking. That is what I want to hear again.

That team didn't have one superstar. I guess you could say Allan Houston was the best player but LJ was the mainstay as he was money in the post. And these teams played ferocious defense.

I miss those days. And that wasn't even our best defensive teams but they played hard on D.

                            Great to watch...

                              Anyone like this possibility?

With Shannon Brown apparently headed back to Los Angeles, the New York Knicks are still looking for a backup two guard.

                              Hello Roger Mason Jr.

In a new YouTube video where Mason touts an acting coach (yes, an acting coach), he says this:

"It's Roger Mason Jr. of the San Antonio Spurs, and quite possibly very soon the New York Knicks..."

Mason was a quality, clutch shooting guard off the bench for the Spurs. Then he regressed last season, seeing his shooting percentage drop to 38 percent and his points per game drop by five. He saw his minutes get squeezed last season by the emergence of George Hill combined with the slump.

He is only 29. This might well be a case of a change of scenery snapping him out of his shooting woes. A lot of teams (including Portland, Miami and Chicago) clearly thought that and had interest, but then went another direction.

Which may work out well for the Knicks.
