Re: The 2011 New York Knicks: The Rebirth

Just the fact that the team had a prayer of a chance to beat Miami shows improvement.

I understand bigeastbumrush's concern, though. The team has holes on defense. It's a process.

True, but they did get stops against the Pacers yesterday. Gallinari gets his MRI today.

They do seem to be buying into the idea of defense. It's difficult when they aren't really a good defensive team, but effort goes a long way.

It's nice to see them trying at least.

What do you guys think we should with Wilson Chandler? Trade him or keep him? His value right now is high as ever, but we know that if we have plans to land Melo we won't be able to keep him. However, all that depends on the new CBA, so I guess it's possible to retain him contingent on what happens in the offseason.

Until we get a few defensive stoppers, that's all you can ask for. At least make the effort.

As for Chandler, I say don't do anything rash and wait until the off-season.

Will hurt, but I thought it would be much worse when I saw it.

Comes at a real bad time. After the Spurs, Knicks go on a tough four-game West Coast trip.

Does anyone know the status of Azubuike?
Also, we should finally get to see AR unless D'amnphony foolishly tries to replace Gallo with..shocker..more offense and give more minutes to Walker, Williams and Mason.

I think this is a perfect time to use AR.
Let him rack up 6 fouls on Tim Duncan. As long as he can get a few blocks, dunks and alter some shots..I'd be estatic.
He can guard Ginobli. It's a no-brainer to me..but watch D'amnphony disappoint me.

OT: What a win for the Johnnies last night...

As for Azubuike, i doubt he'll be playing. His contract is insured @ 80% after Jan. 8th I believe & every indication are the Knicks will move him as his contract is very appealing (expiring)

I also hope AR gets some minutes, but I doubt he will as Pringles will play small ball as usual. I expect Walker to get extra minutes as well as Shawne Williams

Man, we only turned the ball over six times? Great W tonight.

Looks like D'Antoni still refuses to play AR. We trotted a lineup of Felton-Douglas-Fields-Williams-Chandler out there a couple times tonight, smh.

Once you're in D'Amphony's dog house, you never get out.

Most satisfying W of the year. We were clicking on all cylinders last night. Total team effort. Hopefully we can continue giving this type of effort heading out west.

                                2-2 would be wonderful.

I hope those Steve Nash rumors are just that.
