Knicks claimed Derrick Brown of waivers. 6'9 SF/PF. Played with the Bobcats. 23 years old from Xavier Univ. Don't know much about him..

Where's Earl Barron? And why the hell did we cut Azubuike & Brewer who can both play D..but we kept freaking Roger Mason?!

I like Derrick Brown. Well, what I saw from him in college anyway. Undersized but athletic and tough. He had a couple decent summer league games from what I remember watching, but isn't a very good jump shooter. I won't be surprised if he doesn't ever see the court because of D'Antoni.

Also, if D'antoni wants Jeffries back, and is willing to give Balkman minutes, why couldn't Brewer or Azuibuke get a shot? It's like he wants to play the worst defensive minded players he can so it will fail and he can put someone else in to jack up 3's.

sucks to hear how terrible d'antoni is again. I was looking forward to brewer and Buike playing. He's acting like we have a deep bench!

I blame this loss on the coach. We lose Brewer and Azibuike cuz of him. he wouldn't play A. Randolph. this guy is a straight up douche. If he was a player he'd be cancerous to the team, but because he's a coach he gets away with this crap.

I didn't get to see the game, I'll catch the noon replay on NBA TV, but I did see the first couple possessions. All I had to see was Shawne Williams on Dwight Howard and then I knew it was going to end badly.

Exactly. The reality is Brewer was a throw-in to make the salaries match for the trade. I'll tell you that pick Howard set on Chauncey seem a bit dirty & should have been called as such. You can tell he stuck his leg out while setting that pick.

Though that's not the reason we lost, you can tell Chauncey was in a lot of pain. Those type of injuries can keep a player out for a while..

BTW I'm growing tired of Toney Douglas. It's like every time he get's on the floor any pluses we have turn into negatives. Doesn't make good passes, can't hit a driving shot if his life depended on it & gambles too much on defense
