Most of the NY media is pretty damn confident going into this series, surprising after a lot of them ripped the team most of the season.

The Knicks are gonna have to hit 10 three pointers a game and shoot over 35% from long range to have a chance.

Boston is not letting Stoudemire score 30 points once in this series and Anthony is gonna have to hope his fall-away is dropping.

At the same time, with Boston's front court questions if Melo and Amare can get some of their bigs into foul trouble it could really change things.

If Billups keeps thinking he's in a threepoint contest and missing... It won't be pretty.

But screw all the people saying Celtics in 6. The Knicks can win this series... But it will take a monumental, disciplined effort to do so.

Billups is good until he pulls up for three-pointers in non-fast break situations.

Never liked that shot in the NBA. Baron Davis also likes to do that nonsense. I wish there was a way to track shooting percentages when a player brings up the ball and stops to shoot a three. I'd bet they are lower than at any other time shooting a three with the exception of shots under 3 seconds.

But, I guess you have to live with it because Billups is not changing that part of his game.

One thing I started to really like about Douglas is that he is slowly beginning to take threes in good situations. He still has that mental lapse here and there, but a lot of the time, he takes it when the shot is there rather than forcing it. And I'm sure that's why in the past three months he's shot: 38%, 42% and 39% from three-point range compared to 35%, 34%, 32% in the first three full months.

And he's doing that while taking double the amount of three-pointers. He's gone from 3.8 three pt attempts a game to 6.6.

If he can give us some scoring off the bench it will make a huge difference. His scoring help me a ton in the OS Vets league off the bench (helped me beat the 1 seed as the 8) and I expect real-life to follow suit.

Peter Vecsey's ramblings pointed out that he thinks the Knicks best chance of winning a series was against the Celtics. Don't know how he came to that conclusing, but i hope he's right.

Knicks gotta come out and take game 1 with force. Stats gotta take it to the hole.
Bill Walker looked pretty good against the Bulls in the second half. Hopefully he can bring something off the bench.

D'Antoni's the one who scares me since I don't know how good he is as making adjustments.

I mean if we start seeing different lineups (especially at Center), I just don't know.

He had a set rotation in Phoenix.

He seems to just be winging it in NY.

Knicks had this game in hand, they HAD it, but they couldn't close it out - ****!!!!!

The Knicks can't rebound and never did all season so I won't get upset with the large discrepancy.

The only things I really did not like tonight was Melo taking two critical offensive fouls (early in the first; late in the game, Knicks up two) and then settling on a three in the final seconds when he had six seconds on single coverage to take a shot similar to the one he took against Memphis.

Just tough to swallow because that was the Boston game they could have stolen. The Celtics are going to be too tough for them in Game 2.

The only thing I liked with this game is after it was over they didn't have that look like "OMG what are we going to do now". They, especially Melo and Stat, had the look like "I better not catch you guys in a dark alley, better not come outside" on their face. They had the look of motivation and no fear. Just pissed off.

I thought this game was in the bag though. I swear I did. Didn't think they could lose this but those last few seconds went as bad as they possibly could. Quick strike alley oop, Melo foul, turnover or another foul. They were in position to have the Celtics forced to play the foul game and they let it slip away.

I was too disappointed to watch after the shot missed but I'm glad to hear that both Melo and STAT were upset.

It's really time for STAT to just take the ball out of his own teammate's hands. Teen Wolf this series. I was wrong. Boston can't guard Stoudemire. And when Davis has the nerves to say it's easy to guard him, I don't know how the Knicks could dare to go long periods of time without giving Amar'e the damn ball.

Melo was horrible in the second half. Time to drop the ego and give the guy that got them there the ball. Chauncey Billups is incredibly guilty of this. He did slightly better last night but Billups just refuses to feed Stoudemire on scoring plays. It's irritating when you start paying attention to his reluctance to give the ball to STAT.

I really want Stoudemire to start flipping chairs during a time out and bark at his team while D'Antoni sits his behind on said thrown chair and watches it happen. Enough is enough. Give him the ball.
