Saying Deng may end up sitting for q while (wrist), so it shall be interesting to see what happens. This Hamilton business getting old already. If Deng drops for a week or two? Bulls might have to fire something off at the TD.

Gotta say Boozer did have some decent moments on both ends tho.
The Bulls won't make one single move. They haven't had Hamilton all year and they're leading the NBA. They know they have weaknesses but they don't have many parts to move for somebody who could make a big difference.

I really like Korver this year. I think he's been far more effective than Brewer in many instances. Not only has Korver been shooting and passing great, but his defense and rebounding presence has been much better. Brewer's so called 3 point shooting bounce back isn't really going too well. Ball movement is far better with Korver out there as well.

You can almost pencil a Bulls vs Heat Eastern Conference Finals. I don't see anyone else being any good. Indiana is falling off, Orlando is getting better. New York is a mess, Boston is inconsistent. Atlanta isn't disciplined. It's Chicago and Miami, no doubt.

Do you even watch the Bulls? Weren't you just a Thunder fan a little bit ago before you changed your OS name? Also, from New York?

I have to agree, barring any crazy loss or a surprise upset, I think it's a no brainer that they meet again. Yeah, I also think it can only be encouraging to see them still winning despite losing players throughout the year. I'm not saying that they HAVE to make a move to return to the ECF, but if they're gonna get past the Heat they need to be at full strength and need to be playing 100%.

Agreed on Korver, to an extent, and his D has been leaps and bounds ahead of last year ... but this team's forte is D, and I'd take Brewer in a blink of an eye over Korver. Kyle has been the streakiest shooter on this team since he was signed. I'm not going to go into a game expecting Korver to hit 20 because he's shown us that more likely than not he won't. And, sure, with a legit shooter you can space the floor more and that opens ball movement ... but Korver is just a shooter, he doesn't cut or drive to the basket. That's not his game. That can only open up ball movement and spacing so much. I do like Korver, but I don't think he is more important than Brewer. Especially with Rip out. Korver can replace the offensive production from a shooting perspective, but he can't run the break like Rip or Brewer can. And he will never touch Ronnie as a defender.

I'm not saying that without a move the Bulls can't get back, it's getting PAST the Heat that worries me. The Bulls are pretty much the same team, playing better in their second year - not surprising - but the Heat are also entirely better. I don't think it's shocking to expect them to return, I entirely expect them to.

Either way, a move / addition is gonna be needed. Of course if makes more sense to wait, try to add someone without having to give up a piece (Taj, Omer) before the deadline.

You brought in Rip for playoff help, so him missing these games during the reg season isn't necessarily what worries me.

Deng being out for awhile does not bother me at all, he needs the rest. in fact, i'm very excited to see Butler get more playing time. i would like to see him have a go at defending Lebron tonight. or will Deng be back? lol if i'm Lebron i'm licking my chops at korver potentially starting at SF. Brewer typically handles wade though

Good. Other then Orlando they don't even need him this week. I'm confident anyway that can get a W tonight so rest up D. Rose. Rushing this injury too early might result in month on the shelf instead of weeks.

For all you old school Chicagoans and long time Bulls fans like myself(pre-championship era), long time Bulls beat writer for the Chicago Suntimes, Lacy J. Banks, passed away yesterday. I remember reading his articles as a kid and got all my basketball information from him. This was before the age of Internet. Where you had to read the newspaper, magazine or watch TV to get news.

Of all of his articles, my personal favorite was in his NBA season preview in 1995 of the coming 1995-1996 season, Banks predicted the Bulls would win 70 games that year. It's easy to think about it now BUT I'm telling you that many people did not believe it was gonna happen up until about the end of February/early March.

Will miss reading his columns. R.I.P.

I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm X

We've won 8 out of our last ten games

We're on a 4 game win streak with out DRose.

We're grinding these wins out. A win is a win.

                    I'll take it.

                    Good job Bulls

I think that this year the bulls will beat the heat in the ECF.

Rose seems to be getting a nice long rest before the playoffs, because last year he was completely out of gas at that point in the year.

Boozer is showing consistency, scoring wise as well as injury wise. He's giving us a solid 15-8 a night and it looks like him and Noah are developing chemistry. He also has began to incorporate the Big Sexy strip into his defensive game, knowing he won't be blocking any shots, making him not completely worthless on D.

I'm worried about dengs wrist. But I know that he's a warrior and will play through the pain. And more importantly his injury won't affect his guarding of LBJ which is key.

Ronnie is being Ronnie, but now he is showing confidence in his jumper.

CJ is playing fine, but he's nailing the three which will help against the heat's incredibly quick defense.

Lucas is showing that he can spark a run off the bench and give some instant offense. Also leading us to a win earlier this year against Miami.

                        Korver is being Korver.

Noah being typical Noah, rebounding and hustle.

Taj with his O-rebounding will be a huge asset creating 2nd shot opportunities for the bulls.

Now all I can hope is that Rip can finally get healthy right before the playoffs. His ball movement and mid range jumper, along with experience will be crucial.

i'm well aware that the bulls aren't better off without Rose... i just wish the playcalling when Rose is out was the same as the playcalling when Rose is playing. i think Rose can be utilized more effectively and become more efficient
