Real headscratcher right there. I'm sure there's some D-Leaguers or undrafted rookies out there better than Lin.

Really nobody out there. Lin is good. He's big & plays defense. Has NBA experience. He's only here to give us 10 minutes off the bench until both Iman & Baron are ready.

Haven't really watched him in the NBA. Saw him play live against UConn 2 years ago, and he went off, dropped 30 points, Harvard nearly came in to Gampel and won.

Doubt he'll make a big impact but I don't know if there was anyone better and we need a body.

As with Jets, I only saw him play against UConn. I haven't seen him in the NBA.

Everything I read on Knicks' sites today was that he can barely stick with a NBA team because he can't shoot and can't defend. Smart player, good PnR guy and a work ethic/glue guy but major limitations in his game. Guessing he's a short term pickup until Baron can play.

Seeing how Bibby will barely be able to make it thru back-to-back games and TD so inconsistent...I refuse to believe a Jeremy Lin was the best option out there.

I know it's just for a backup spot and he'll probably be waived during the season but it's a questionable pickup.

Unless you wanted Arena's, there really isn't anyone out there via FA. Most people are oversea's due to the lockout. The knicks did invite Julyan Stone to camp, but he went to camp went Denver & got a 2yr deal.

Again he's here probably until Baron & Iman get healthy.

Seeing how Bibby will barely be able to make it thru back-to-back games and TD so inconsistent...I refuse to believe a Jeremy Lin was the best option out there.

My assumption is any available player knows the reality of the situation.

Baron Davis is due back in about a month. There's Douglas, Bibby, Shumpert (in a month) and Carmelo bringing up the ball in dire situations.

Whoever is out there that is better probably wants a better situation and not become a roster limit casualty when the Knicks decide to exercise their $2.5 MM exception on one of the China players in March.

Well I guess this is what this isolation offense is going to look like when Melo isn't going off. Damn this is ugly.

I watched 3 quarters of the GSW game.

Fields is not a starter in this offense. A good role player, bench guy. But not a starting SG on a playoff caliber team.

Toney Douglas...man oh man. No PG IQ at all. 2 games in and he passes STAT and Chandler he ball 18 feet from the basket on fast breaks.

Can't wait til Baron and Shump get healthy.

I'd love it if for once over the past ten years the Knicks would actually stop acting like they're playing on the back end of a back-to-back game on the first day.

No effort last night. I don't know what that was, but it was disgusting from both ends of the floor.

If you're not gonna try, why bother?

And Stoudemire. Just getting to that boiling point with him on defense. He watches and gives up on every play. Every play. It's not a one time thing. It's every freaking play.

I don't agree it's every single play. When we were in the game he made a few nice plays, including smacking the ball off Lee to cause a turnover.

But he just doesn't have the shot block tenacity someone of his "fire" and athleticism should have, IMO.

I disagree. He reacts if the ball is within reach. When it comes to any effort, he stands around and watches.

That Lee tip is the kind of play he makes. He's like the Derek Jeter of defense. So long as its near him, he'll make the play.

And he does come over when he wants to. I still recall that block he had on Lebron's shot to seal the game last year. We need more of that but I can't say he isn't involved every play. Just most of them, unfortunately.

Looks like everyone left their game@ the airport... Fugly game by the home team. Man I can't wait til B-Diddy get's healthy. I'm tired of TD not knowing how to be a PG in this system
