Isiah Thomas Fired As FIU Head Coach
Isiah Thomas has been relieved of his duties as head coach of Florida International.
"We want to thank Isiah Thomas for his three years here at FIU," Paul Garcia said. "However, we have decided to take the program in a different direction."
Thomas was shocked by the firing.
"This is the most surprising thing that has happened to me in basketball," Thomas said to ESPN's Andy Katz. "I never been fired before for basketball reasons. This is the first time.

It's been a while since I've seen an NBA team miss that many quality open looks. Granted a cold JR Smith and Iman shooting a majority of those shots certainly makes it seem more likely.

Carmelo was awesome yet again and getting a lot of play in the NY media but the story could easily be Deng and Rose and their choke jobs at the line. Second time this year Rose has had a chance to ice the game with a couple of free throws and bricked them both. I wouldn't expect that kind of charity from the MVP come playoff time.Comment

Once his D "gets better" (translation: When the refs realize he's a great defensive player and lets him get away with more on D, because honestly guys we know that's how it works aka Fisher in the day, The Glove and others) man he's going to be a MAJOR problem for squads to deal with.Comment
