True, perimeter defense is going to be ugly. Lopez and O'Quin can hopefully pound the boards and protect them rim. At least that is my hope lol

Jose & Sasha starting in the backcourt tonight. This is going to be brutal to watch on the defensive end of the floor.

        32 wins. 35 max.

They pretty much need everything to break right to have any sort of success this year.

I think they'll look really good offensively at times.

But I think ultimately they're going to have to take the clamps off of Jerian Grant. I think if he's able to run the show and not be so sucked into the triangle on every single possession, we'll see signs of a team that is not considered in the bottom rung of the league.

Very concerning having injuries to Afflalo and Seraphin before the real games even start.

Our backcourt concerned me most over the summer but now it seems to be front court depth. We're just rail thin. And Lopez can't be counted on for any offensive contribution.

It'll be good to see a team running a system for once so that is something I'm looking forward to. That and Porzingis' development.

I am interested in seeing a Grant and Galloway backcourt. Sasha and Calderon are going to be abused.

            I love O'Quinn.

And Jeri Grant driving for a layup rather than hoisting a three with the quarter clock expiring? Thank you.

            I love him too.

Might have to get an O'Quinn jersey. I am a Norfolk state alum. Not too many of us in the league ever [emoji1]

Chemistry ain't bad considering we have so many new faces. Nice to see a solid 2nd unit again in NY, helps that we're hardly running Triangle stuff when they're on the floor.

Good first half, ball movement is there, played with a lot more energy than the Bucks. Active hands on defense 7 steals and 5 blocks.

Hopefully Calderon stays in foul trouble he looks awful.

Don't care who MIL was missing, that was quite the way to start the season.

It was amazing to watch a team quit right on the floor. No less against a second unit.

That play design to throw the alley to Williams was a thing of beauty.

We'll see what they do tonight but that was a good win especially when the starters didn't play particularly well.

Second unit played fantastic and I'm glad that Fish rode them. Derrick Williams is instant energy off of the bench. He could have had 30, both of his missed 3s rimmed out.

Tonight will be a good test and our starters should be pretty fresh.

Very nice that most guys played 20-25 minutes last night. Solid work by Fish there.

                              Fisher looks more assertive too.

Less of the "what the heck is happening" raised brow look.

A lot more menacing stare for no apparent reason but to grill the court. Which I like.

Also he's actually complaining to refs.

He just seems more comfortable on the sideline.

Meanwhile, Porzingis is a rookie and did a good job getting fouled but I still felt he was very unsure of himself. Little things with his body language made it seem like he was a bit lost.

But it's not all bad because he still got to the line. I think being so tall and lanky, a lot of guys are going to try and bully him. In today's nba you get foul calls that way.

Either way, like others have said, the positive is Melo had a bad shooting night and the team rolled anyway.

Also Fisher noticing his second unit was the best team on the court late in the first, was the turning point of the game. Kudos to him for spotting that and riding it, and kudos to the starters for staying on their feet and cheering them on.

I see you O'Quinn cheering guys on. Williams also ran all the way from the bench to underneath the basket during a dead ball to help a teammate up.

                              That's just nice to see.

As been said. That was pretty impressive. KP getting to the line 12 times, shows the kid isn't afraid of contact.

                                Excited for tonight's game...
