Re: The 2016 New York Knicks: Now that we're done tanking...

Myles Turner is better than what we would get out of a 2nd round pick, so if they wanted to do it we would do it...but the trade makes no sense and is so implausible that it doesn't matter. It wouldn't happen.

It does make me wonder what kind of trades teams will be able to pull of with guys with unfavorable contracts around the league now that the cap will be higher. Not having to match salaries when under the cap would make it a decent opportunity to dump a guy.

Can't we get a coach who emphasizes defense??? Knicks haven't played any since Van Gundy left.

For as much **** as he gets and as stressful as it must be, I'm glad Melo is there to show KP how to deal with this **** and shield him from all of the garbage he has to deal with. I think Porzingis has a lot of freedom to grow that he wouldn't have because Melo can be the criticism magnet and he can just keep getting better.

And I love how much Melo seems to really be enjoying his role as mentor/big brother.

There's certainly a strong argument that trading Melo would be best for us, but I think keeping him, continuing to improve, and giving KP a positive environment to grow in is a reasonable plan too. And while I get why people want to trade him, I don't get why a portion of the fanbase seems to resent Melo for wanting to be a Knick and play in New York.

When is Hornacek going to be officially announced?

Rambis has kidnapped Hornacek in an attempt to have the deal fall through and he'll end up the coach again.

Also, it's probably difficult to sign the paperwork, what with all of Dolan's music fans hounding him for pictures and autographs all the time. Im sure when he gets a free moment, it'll get done.

Apparently it's 3 years. Very smart.

Post says he agreed to terms weeks ago, the reason it took so long was trying to schedule the press conference and getting his family in.

Yeah it's today, but I don't know what time. Wonder what'll happen to Rambis. They can't keep him on the coaching staff.

                        12:15 I think.

I would think Rambis moves to front office unless this caused a falling out with Phil or something.

                          Front office makes sense.

Officially Team Phil, this man has made a fool out of the NY media. All those reports of him out there doing whatever he wanted and only talking to Rambis only to find out the guy who got hired was first interviewed in April and for 6 hours and nobody knew. Dude must be in his penthouse giggling at these reporters. These guys don't know ****.

The fear mongering the local media has done during Phil's tenure is some of the most ridiculous stuff (and biggest reaches) the NY media has ever pulled and we all know that's really saying something.
