Want to get rid of injured, broken-down, past-their-prime star players? Just call the Knicks, the NBA's official dumping ground.

The incompetence never ends with this franchise.

Don't worry. Not one word from Knicks camp has shown any interest in him.

This report is as similar as Durant wanting to come to New York.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I really think it will be Noah. There was talk about Noah weeks ago, didn't make much sense at the time, but makes a lot of sense now.

I think it will be similar to last offseason, sign a lot of 1 or 2 year deals, see if we have any keepers. If we're good, great. If we aren't, we have a ton of cap room, our pick, Melo, and hopefully Porzingis ready to take a big step forward.

If it is Noah hopefully he can stay relatively healthy. He is almost as broken as rose

Calderon is gone. That itself is huge.

Well...Alan Hahn just said Durant is interested in hearing our pitch. Still trying not to get hyped lol.

And a 'signicant player who has won awards' asked him about our cap situation last night. I'm guessing that's Dwight.

Get Durant this summer, let Rose walk next summer and sign Westbrook.

                Westbrook
                Holiday
                Durant
                Melo

Reading more and more reaction about the trade this morning, so many fans/bloggers/beat writers hate the deal.

                    On June 22, 2016...
                    • Jerian Grant went from underwhelming rookie to future above-average PG.
                    • Robin Lopez, who was our Plan C or D last summer and everyone in the media laughed at us for signing him, is a guy who should have been labeled as untouchable by our FO.
                    • Calderon is now a serviceable backup PG who the Bulls are lucky to have.

This trade is going to be one heck of an anuhlittucks vs eye-test case. Advanced stat disciples laugh at the Knicks for making the deal. Others think it's a home run for the Knicks. Former/current players think it's a great deal for the Knicks. Both fan bases hate the deal.

My thing is that it doesn't hurt us. If he gets injured or sucks than we let him walk. They were never playing Grant. Almost wondered why they drafted him in the first place. Missing lopez will hurt some but that depends on who we bring in. Also a lot of people want kp at center. I am concerned with our lack 2 guards and we definitely need another pg.

                        It's a win-win.

                        Money wise it's a wash.
On the court, dude is an expiring who everyone has said is done so he's going to ball out to prove everyone wrong and get that re-up.

His penetration alone will do wonders for our bigs. Melo gets to do what he can only do -- score.

And we finally have more than one late gate situation option.

If you haven't watched the Knicks over the past 10 years and still calling it a bad deal then you're just throwing crap against the wall.

Anyone know anything about Justin Holiday? Everything I've seen of him seems to say he's a 3 and D kind of role player at the 2. Im wondering if his value can kind of offset the loss of Grant (which isn't big IMO) and give us something in different areas.

The detractors act like Rose has no upside. He's 27, he finished last year strong I believe, he's in a contract year, he COULD be good. If he's not, I think the risk was pretty low. Grant struggled, he has definite flaws, he isn't that young, obviously it's early with him but I'm not losing sleep over losing him. And Lopez is good but eventually his role is going to diminish with KP getting more time at the 5. I think he'd eventually be traded, and taking a shot on Rose is better than what we'd eventually get for him

And obviously, no Calderon. Anyone who acts like that's a loss shouldn't ever talk about basketball.

Calderon out is addition by subtraction.
