The only thing I remember about Hornacek and assistants was that he wanted to bring in his defensive assistant from Phoenix but that guy had already moved on to Cleveland. I don't remember him wanting anyone and being rejected. Regardless and I've said this since the beginning because of the reason he got shipped out of Phoenix, I think dude is soft and he was never gonna succeed in the city. When I hear you lost a locker room in ****ing Phoenix you don't even need to be interviewed for a spot with the Knicks.

Is Rambis still around?
Please tell me he took the next uber after Phil jumped on a jet to Montana.

That boy Pat the Rat must've cursed us like Celie from The Color Purple when they told him he couldn't have his stake in the franchise bruh. We haven't done right by him yet.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Rambis was an excellent defender in his day. He has a pessimistic attitude though and struggles to relate to todays players.Comment

It really will never end until Dolan is gone. Just make Mills Prez and Houston GM and get it over with. Another awful look for this franchise."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

The Knicks are soo out of touch. Listen to Mark Cuban talk about the joy of brainless Knicks not selecting DSjr in the draft.

And Knicks writers/fans fall into the trap every time.
It's quite sickening actually.
Not one person will defend what Dolan, Mills & Co. has done.
But for some reason we get sucked into every hyperbole and exaggeration out there. Isola, Tommy Beer, these guys are clowns.
Cuban didn't hire Frank's coach (or whoever he was) as a smokescreen to confuse the Knicks. Phil wasn't drafting some AAU/Iso superstar and everyone knows it. That is simply a fact.
The Knicks over spent on THJr. Fine.
I can point out 3, probably more, worse deals this summer where if it was the Knicks, MSG would have to be burned down because of the ineptitude. But no one harps on these things.
Chicago trading away Jimmy Butler and a pick.
Nets $106M offer to Otto Porter.
Lakers trading away D'Angelo Russell because he's not a leader and to shed Mozgov's contract because they are absolutely signing Paul George and LeBron James a year from now.
Indy trading PG for a bag of peanuts.
The list goes on and on.
Can't get sucked into this nonsense.
And FWIW..I hate the Knicks. And I'm not defending them. But it's like an abusive relationship where you stick around despite the hurt
I just can't stand the hypocritical garbage that constantly goes on.Comment

Re: The 2017 New York Knicks: Can we please stay healthy?
The Jimmy trade and Lakers trades were definitely panned, as was the PG trade.
The Porter one, I think has been written about differently because everyone knew Washington would match and the Nets simply raised the price.
With Hardaway, it was widely reported the Hawks were matching up to $48 mm so it was another sign of Knicks overspending, outbidding themselves.
I don't know, I think the Knicks deserve every bit of the jokes and exposure to their dimwitted decisions.
The league is equal opportunity. The Kings get killed all the time, as did the Nets. Can't fault them for finally waking up while the Knicks just keep on keeping on with the same people in place.

I'd say over 50% of the league has terrible front offices and the Knicks are near the top. But the troll feeding that the fans eat up with this team is something else.
Mark Cuban is a salesman who has stiffed his best player for years but people are supposed to believe his genius that Dennis Smith was 2nd on his draft board for a year? PleaseComment

Re: The 2017 New York Knicks: Can we please stay healthy?
It was seen as a shrewd move because if they match(they did)then the Wiz are stuck with Otto Porter as their highest paid player despite being the 3rd best player on team. Not to mention, if hamstrings their cap to the point where they'll have no flexibility on their cap.
They don't match, the Nets get a quality talent on a team in which they're devoid of, meanwhile they still have flexibility to make additional moves going forward.
Pretty much a no lose scenario for the Nets. Not even sure what you're arguing here.

There are certainly times when Isola and a few others are over the top with their criticism and trolling. Just don't think the Hardaway signing is one of those times.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: The 2017 New York Knicks: Can we please stay healthy?
I don't know if you're using equal opportunity as if that phrase actually means equality, or if you're using it in the way it works which is still discretionary, meaning the Knicks can be and still are singled out. If the latter, I agree. If the former you can't believe other teams are covered like this one.
The media is based in the city so it makes sense. The Nets are irrelevant so they don't get hit with it. The Knicks don't deserve anywhere near as much **** as they get, which is amazing because they deserve a metric **** ton of ****. The reality is a lot of people are just dumb and don't know what's going on, then when the sky is falling reporters get on TV and explain how this move is the worst move the Knicks have made in 20 years, people believe it.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

DSJr turns into an injury-prone, homeless man's version of Dame Lillard and Frank turns into the point guard version of Kawhi seven years down the line then Cuban will be singing a different tune."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
