This was asinine. Clearly the words of Phil. He crapped on every player that he brought in, drafted or re-signed.

LOL@ what he said about Noah only losing "half-a-step laterally" but the signing not being Phil's fault.

Good riddance to Phil and his puppet. No class at all from those 2 clowns.

All that clown does is wear knee-pads for Phil.

          Lupica nailed it;

He got one last thing wrong, Phil Jackson did, the night before the NBA draft when he was looking for a soft place to land on Madison Square Garden’s television network. He was asked about a …

A guy like Lupica should be the last type to forget just how bad Zeke was. Phil isn't even close to Zeke's neighborhood. Zeke was an F-, Phil was probably a C until this crap with Melo and KP the last two months put him over the top.

                  Yea that article was ridiculous.

Phil left us in better shape than pretty much the rest of the gm's of the last 15 years. Walsh was a little better, but Amare broke down basically right after he left.

Now, we have a potential franchise player, a few other young pieces to build around, all our picks, and a not terrible cap situation. Its not great and I'm glad he's out, but grading on a curve compared to the rest of our gm's, not bad

Me too. He had the 5th worst winning percentage in his tenure here. No playoffs. Scandals and drama just like Thomas. Honestly we arguing the legacy of two awful eras.

I believe Dolan wants no business running the Knicks. He's happy forcing opening appearances on other people's tours in MSG and taking in that monopoly cable money.

But, the guy he signs will likely be a yes man that will behave as Dolan prefers so he doesn't have to worry about it. I don't think the team signs a President this year. Mills will run the ship this season and eventually be named President and Houston will become GM. That's my guess.

The fact that we're focusing on free agency instead of going after Phil's replacement definitely worries me, makes it seem like Dolan is fine with Mills leading the way.

In other news, let's appreciate that Isiah Thomas's second move with the Knicks, in early January of 2004, included trading a 2010 first round pick. You really have to look at their executive pages on bbref to appreciate how much of a nuclear explosion Isiah was.

And I didn't even realize that in my entire post, I was subconsciously writing about Isiah Thomas.

                            He's coming back, isn't he?

                            He's ****ing coming back.

The tricky thing about a dumpster fire is the smoke. You can't see what's burning or what damage has been done. It's all obscured behind the haze.

Most important point in the Beck piece is the reminder that it took 2 years for Walsh just to restore sanity in the organization lol.

But for fun, our favorite troll, Isola:

"One person close to the Knicks described Isiah Thomas as a" dark hose candidate" to become Knicks president."

I truly believe the Knicks would be in a better place if Walsh had been allowed to carry out his plan, instead of the brain-dead owner blowing it up.

Oh well.....long ago, I accepted the fact that this franchise will ALWAYS suck with Dolan at the top. Learn it, live with it, Knick fans.

......at least I still have my football Giants. Thank goodness for the Maras.
