The Judges did take away points though regardless if the Ref didn't say anything because thats the only thing that makes since that allowed Mora to win.
Judges CAN'T take away points until there is a warning.

Well then explain to me how they messed up the scores so bad. These judges are just flat out Horrible.

I mean I know Mora won atleast two rounds.

I mean Mario Lopez fits because his show is ESPN HOLLYWOOD. So I am fine with this.

                de la rosa didn't fight.

and the judges were just terrible. they can't just go deducting points at their whim, so they must really have thought mora and brinkley won more rounds than manfredo and bonsante, but we all know they didn't/

At most Mora won 3 and tied 1, that makes it 77-76 Manfredo...
Manfredo just straight up outslugged Mora. I hope both him and Bonsante challenge the decision to the Cal state commission.

On top of that, I think I am done with boxing. Apparently this **** happens far too often. I would rather watch UFC or K1 at this point because of bullsh*t judging.

I can't believe I just wasted my time watching these fights. Boxing has lost all credibility. Jesse Brinkley did not win one round but wins the fight. Did you see Brinkley's reaction after the last round was over? He knew he had no chance of winning. Holy crap. I am done watching this junk ever again. Two of the most ridiculous decisions I have ever seen. Then again, I should have expected this from boxing. It's easy to see why the sport has fallen off so much. On a side note, I want to beat those judges down so bad.

Mora is from LA. The fight was in LA. There is your answer.

Thats not the only answer, judges in boxing have been terrible for years for multiple reasons and after watching the matches tonight I have come to the conclusion that boxing has become a disgrace. With Mora throwing wild punches it looks better then Manfredo actually landing punches consistently and being the aggressor according to the judges I guess. Brinkley falls in the same catagory, he did nothing, even less then Mora and still won and it wasnt even a split decision to top it off and the entire time they are trying to hype the second season of the Contender which in my mind is a waste of time after tonights fights.

yeah he won his fight. Also Jonathan Reid got beat by Miguel Espino.

This is why I can never get into boxing. Right when you find a fight you enjoy, the judges pull the biggest BS decision I've ever seen. Brinkley did nothing to earn that win and even he knew it. Its a joke.

Wow, worst decisions I've ever seen. I wouldn't have stopped the first fight, the next 2 decisions were absolutely awful. Brinkley didn't win a single round, in fact, he looked flat and lazy the entire fight. Manfredo dominated 5 of the 8 rounds.

I agree with someone above, boxing needs a new way of scoring and judging these fights. Because I have absolutely no clue what these judges were watching.

I agree with everyone, I only saw the Manfredo/MOre match and Manfredo was the aggressor the whole fight. THe first 4 rounds were all Manfredo. Mora got the 5th easily, he threw some great combinations at Manfredo and he couldnt handle them. Manfredo got the next two and Mora got the 8th andfinal round. THat was a terrible decision, it should've been unanimous(sp?). Boxing has to do something because its not just this fight, its been in a a lot of fights annd it is getting annoying.

I agree with everyone else. Those decisions were disgusting and boxing keeps on getting worse as sports like mixed martial arts grow in popularity because it's more about true competition. Between the corrupt judges, greedy promoters with all the power, and top fighters that don't want to fight more than once a year (Mayweather, Judah, Hatton...), it's tough to be a boxing fan right now.

If John McCain and Congress want to step in and rebuild boxing from the ground up, now's a good a time as any.
