Why do they keep removing fighters in Fight Night?
Last year EA had 37 fighters in Fight Night 2...this year they have 32 fighters and they added De La Hoya. So that means that EA didnt resign six of the fighters they had last year. Now I know that may not be a big deal but why decrease the number? You cant tell me that signing guys like Kevin Kelley and Juan Lazcano are that expensive. Looks like I'll have to create even more fighters this year.Tags: None -
Re: Why do they keep removing fighters in Fight Night?
I won't be able to help out on the boxer creation this year. Unfortunately I do not have an Xbox 360 and do not plan on buying it (at least not within the next 6 months to 2 years). I figure I will give Round 3 a rental on the Xbox but unless they actually made some improvements to the career mode I will probably just pass on buying it this year.
Regardless I am interested see if they made any helpful changes to the create a champ feature.Last edited by Aaenuel; 01-08-2006, 01:53 AM. -

Now in the Career mode, do you only box against the fighters that are in your weight class that are signed? So say you're a heavyweight, and there are hypothetically 8 real-life heavyweights signed to the game, do you fight against those same 8 guys through your career?Originally Posted by Briman123

Re: Why do they keep removing fighters in Fight Night?
To me getting De La Hoya is more about Golden Boy Promotions and how it's able to function in career mode. I realize this isn't the best time to petition for Zab Judah after he probably just threw his career away, but you'd think they'd go after guys like that rather than washed up greats. Maybe boxing doesn't have as many exciting fighters coming up the ranks, but for all the promises last year, Oscar for 5 or so fighters is a weak tradeoff.Comment

Smackdown 2006 proved you dont need real guys in a game to be successful. Just give me a deep CAP mode.
Now I hope there are more styles in the game.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/complex219Comment
