    RD 3 hands on ---

"The Xbox 360 version of Fight Night Round 3 is truly where it’s at. The visual and audio fidelity is unlike any other game we’ve experienced. It’s been a while since I’ve seen so many GI editors crowding around a television, let alone bobbing and weaving along with the action, and groaning and cheering with each punch landed."

Those videos answered alot of questions...in a bad way.

      1. They still use nick names..."Bam Bam" hits "Bam Bam", "Bam Bam" is going to feel that punch from "Bam Bam"...Its so stupid, all the other games pronounce real names.

      2. Ali & Frazier still coming to the ring to rap music & ho's.

      3. Still appears you must knock the opponent down several times before they are KO'd.

      4. The rounds are still 3 full minutes in length so punch counts will still be 100+ punches per round even for HW's.

Its the same problems we complained about last year. Thanks for fixing them KUdo.

I agree with the first three points even though with EA's hatred of custom soundtracks and their love of EA Trax, you shouldnt have expected that they would change that.

I disagree with 4. That all depensds on the way you fight. I have never reached 100 punches a round in the demo because I fight realistically by using movement and angles. Because of that, the CPU doesnt reach 100 punches either. As long as you dont treat each round like a Toughman fight, you wont reach 100.

Using RJ Jr in the demo, I average about 175-200 punches total in the 4 rounds.

How do you use Jones Jr. I get KILLED with him. The jab is a bit too slow and can't put together combo's fast enough it feels like. I love the demo but that's one of my issues with it.

I agree I hate the Bam-Bam name stuff. Another question I will keep asking, but nobody seems to care about, this is Next-Gen, "WHERE IS THE REF", I mean don't tell me they couldn't add him. Ea lazy, lazy, lazy.

LB,try bobbing and weaving with the left trigger and the left joy stick, then use left upper cuts pressing x and a together and right hooks with b.I win most of my fights against Hopkins this way

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I notice when I'm Hopkins, I knock Jones out in the 2nd round alot. But when I'm Jones, I get torn up LOL.

Good read, the only thing I didn't like about it was that in the article they said that the PS3 will have more features than the 360 based off the interview with Kudo; then when you read the interview it doesn't say there are new features.

Oh and it looks like there's no Caesar's Palace.

Yeah, I was getting killed too, but then I learned to fight with Jones' style. Hopkins is stronger, so you can't go toe-to-toe with him, trading punches. You have to use Jones' speed advantage by sticking and moving. Keep your guard up, and counter him. Eventually, Hopkins will weaken, then you can move in for the kill............I love this game.

Exactly. If you use Total Punch Control, learn to flick the analog stick when you throw jabs. I'm able to get off 3 and 4 punch combos with RJJ by flicking the analg stick.

If you're using Jones, you have to get the lateral movement down. Utilize the entire ring. Get in, work the jab, occasionally flick the jab then follow with a right straight for a quick 2 punch combo. Keep sticking and moving, try and parry his punches and get in a quick combo. Just keep fighting like this, don't get suckered into a slugfest, and you'll come out on top.

I can't remember where I read this (possibly the IGN forums), but Kudo was quoted as saying that the PS3 game would be completely different than the Xbox360 version.

I have a feeling that the career mode for the PS3 will be far deeper than the 360's.

Sounds good, I don't think I'll wait 6+ months for the PS3 version though. Do you think you could find a link to it?
