Cotto was awesome. Instead of going 12 rounds and through the motions, he got an inferior fighter out of there in impressive fashion!

Good stoppage by the doc. Gomez could have been hurt really badly if the fight continued.

Cotto-Margarito would be a GREAT fight -- candidate for Fight of the Year. No sense in even talking about Cotto-Mayweather. Floyd isn't taking that fight, and even if he did, I'd much rather see Margarito and Cotto actually fight than PBF dance around the ring trying to avoid Cotto, seeking the occasional opportunistic counter.

      Take care,

So let me see, the feather fisted Paul Williams beats Margarito, but we think that he makes for an exciting fight for Cotto? The same Margarito that barely beat a one handed Clottey?

        Cotto will KO Margarito easily

              Johnson was robbest vs Dawson.
Cintron will always have trouble with guys who don't go down when he touches them, but the bottom line is he needs to work on his defense, but not at the expense of his offense. When Manny instructed him to "box" his bicycling and jabbing with an occasional power punch wasn't effective. His power punching style requires him to be set to deliver a punch-more head movement, more bobbing and weaving. I will be interested in how he adjust next fight.

I shame that Cintron, just can't take a body punch. He just made it harder for himself to get any promoter to touch him for fights. Dude has no heart & no fortitude..

Margarito mocking-him, was very tasteless IMO. As for Cotto, easy day @ the office. Mayweather needs to make this fight happen already, because there's really no other fight the public wants.

Cintron lacks heart. I dont care how much Stewart trains him, you cant teach heart. he seems scared to get hit and eh looked like a deer in headlights when the bell in Rd1 rang. he has height, reach and power but his technique stinks. He has little to no head movement, his jab looks like he is a pawing baby cub.

Yeah, there's definitely a heart factor(maybe a head factor too), but it's rare that a fighter beaten by a KO or TKO comes back to win a rematch. Cintron is an interesting study in pugilistic head cases and will still be a draw for awhile-only beaten by Margarito and a crowd pleasing power puncher.

Different weight class, but Katsidis has more heart in his hangnails than Cintron does in his entire body.

Dawson's pride almost cost him the title. Should have never gotten into a slugging match with Johnson. At least he was smart enough to listen to his corner man's advice.

Cotto must be a part time plastic surgeon b/c he completely re-arranged Gomez's face.

PBF may be wise in not risking his unblemished record against Cotto.

How many times has Cotto risked his record? I only think twice, Judah and Mosley.

Torres was 28-0 when he fought Cotto. Quintana was 23-0 when he fought Cotto, and that was Cotto's first fight at welterweight.

How are those not risky fights for Cotto?

You've got a point. Julio was Quintana's only quality opponent before he lost to Cotto, and Torres fought no one.

Similar to Andy Lee this year. Built up as the next big hope by fighting tomato cans. Lee looked totally outclassed against Brian Vera after the first round a few weeks ago on "Friday Night Fights."

                                I stand corrected.
