Can't you see you are a victim of the hype. This thread, your comments are exactly what is desired. They would not be said if he did not want to sell tickets. You will tune in to his fight hoping his ignorant azzz gets beat. If you are truly against B-Hop then don't react to his comments and don't watch his fight. Period!

Different fighters promote/motivate/ try to get under the skin of their opponent in different ways. Hopkins has his plan/methods and so far it works. Racism is probably one of the biggest money makers to date. I am assuming he is piggy backing on the long line of profit. Look, dude is 40 something and generating this kind of attention. As we write he is getting paid for his antics.

I just have issue in the double standard. If Calzaghe stooped to this level we'd be having a much different conversation. You say you didn't have any problem with what Hopkiins said, but would you have a problem if Calzaghe had said the opposite?

I guarantee Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and the rainbow coalition would be asking for resparations from the prime minister of the UK. The title of the thread is ignorant or racist. The statement was racist, but I honestly think B-Hop is ignorant in regards to what lines you should not cross in regards to both the racist comment and Taylor's brother. I know that Hopkins knows what he's doing will create a stir, but he is ignorant to the the fact that there are lines you should not cross.

That is how I feel. If Calzag said it, I would not lose any sleep. I have heard worse. Played football in Long Island NY back in the mid 80's. Name calling and the obvious fact we were black was always pointed out. At this stage it is all hype and I will be front and center watching the results of the hype Sat.

I am an old B-Hop fan. We are ancestral brothers from the same plantation (my last name is Hopkins also). So you now know who I am rooting for (as if you didn't know). But, not sure what type of fight B-Hop can put up against Calzag. He is a tuff customer!!

Victims....Who wants to be a victim? Th thread says "B-Hop ignorant or racists". I said he made a racist comment. You agree it was racist, where's the problem.

The thing is you can think things, but when you act on them, thats when there is a problem. Probably why B-Hop landed himself in prison, because instead of just thinking about committing a crime, he actually did it.

He can think and say whatever the hell he wants, but I don't need to respect everything he says. I'm not particularly offended by what he said but I really, really dislike these kinds of views coming from anyone.

Ok I pose this question to everybody.....When you hear and see things about your heritage are you proud or are you ashamed?.....Both black and white....ill go first.....Yes I am proud,as a black man living in this country as much as my culture had to put up with then and now,I am very proud,as much as we had to put up with in this country.

But as a boxing fan I think Calzache is going to win by a decision....He is to fast and way to active for BHop.......

To be honest, we shouldnt be having this convo at all. Race and racism discussions are against the TOS and a mod should have locked this by now imo.
