Agreed. The things that hurt this game was the marketing and the hype man (producer). The collision detection issues didn't help either but honestly people are hyping that up a little more than what it is. No way anyone is going to tell me that FN didn't have it's collision detection issues also. But thats besides the point. The AI probably could use a little more tweaking but it is pretty good.

Playing against humans is hellified fun. When Roy Jones went out like a bleep we did a little tournament with the game. Fortunately everyone I had over had the game or played it. It was a fun night. Of course I came out the Champion but it was fun. Nothing like beating a guy down in front of his wife. lol

The secret is knowing what your boxer can do and fighting within his abilities.

there is no demo for some reason in canada...I just can't bring myselft ot rent it because of all hte negative reviews and opinions. When you say best games of last year, ijust can't believe it - comparing it w/ something like fallout is just impossible to me.

There is a serious drought of games right now so I'm thinking I may actually rent it soon and tom clancy's endwar - i recently read some reviews and it seems ok. If i rent it though, I'm going to be brutally honest about it.

Again if you're just going to pop it in and give it a day or two then don't bother guys. You wont pick up the nuances in that amount of time. But if you really plan to put some time in it and approach it like real boxing then you should enjoy it.

There's one way to always tell if someone really played it enough or didn't. People say all the boxers have the same style. Thats not true. If you really play it you can see the subtle differences in the boxers.

It was fun playing through the story mode the first time. The exhibition matches were fun at first too, but once you play for a while it will really start to wear on you all the little flaws and the 13 knockdown fights, the judges pathetic scoring, etc.

I think the fun went away for you when you got too good at the game. The higer difficulty sounds like the A.I. sucks and it just makes the boxer keep getting up over and over again instead of actually having smart adaptive A.I.

Best fight is against that boxer with Roid Rage. Funnest fight I had, went the distance with no knockdowns and I won a split decision. The game was fun going through the first time. I finished 37-12 or something like that with 20 some KO's, but by the end I was finishing everyone off in just a couple rounds.

When I replayed it on very hard I won every fight by KO except the roid rager.
