Interesting comments as Hopkins says he is a fan of Pavlik, takes nothing away from him, and is very impressed by Kelly's right hand. Team Pavlik says they want to KO Hopkins as Lampley and Merchant doubt that that's the best strategy since it's near impossible to do. Pavlik's trainer says Bernard should be in the fight the first six rounds, but after that it's another story. Another analysis says he thinks Pavlik is possibly unbeatable at 160, but 170, who knows? Pavlik says he will be hitting a lot harder at 170 because he will not be drained trying to make 160. Pavlik's conditioning coach will be putting more bulk on Pavlik through bigger TIRES and more difficult exercises. Freddie Roach is concerned about Hopkins because he thinks Hopkins was hurt during the Calzage fight because Bernard had trouble fiding his corner on 4 different occasions.

        My least favorite 24/7 ever.

And the 166, 170 stuff is way overrated. JT fought a MUCH better fight the second time and Pavlik was absolutely right.

I thought the Mayweather-Delohoya one was the worse.

            Debatable.

But since they are coming up on doing fighters more than once, they need to start scratching the surface a little more.

I just can't wait for Calzaghe and Pavlik to collide. Hopkins/Pavlik is still an interesting match-up, but of course we'll be in for a lot of holding, but once Hopkins opens up late in the fight who knows what could happen. I think someone's going to go down. Pavlik has to remember to be patient with Hopkins though.

I think late in the fight will be too late for Hopkins. He has to be aggressive early.

I have a funny feeling about this fight.
Despite my head telling me it'll be a boring 12 round UD for Pavlik, I think something special might happen.

Either B-Hop is going to get stopped or he's going to 'shock the world'.

Can he keep an aggressive pace for 12 rounds? I think if he goes that route he's going to play right into Pavlik's game. B-Hop has to be defensive early and frustrate Pavlik that way, maybe by doing so Pavlik will take bad risks and leave himself open. That or he'll simply keep the fight close enough for his final spurt in the closing rounds.

LOL..as much as I love boxing I will not get caught in B-Hop prefight hype agian..It will be the same old B-Hop holding, and hitting, picking his pot shots and then complaining to the public how he won and a young lion couldn't beat him up...been there done that..will catch the replay

LOL. I agree. It's the same reason why I didn't buy his last 4 fights (the last one I did was the Trinidad fight). And I won't buy this one either.
But I just have a funny feeling something out of the ordinary will happen.
Maybe, like Casomayer, this will be the first time we see Hopkins stopped? The odds are small that something like this will happen and it'll probably be a carbon-copy of the Calzaghe fight, but I just have a weird feeling that it won't be.

I don't know.Freddie Roach's comments and Hopkin's collapse against Calzage make me think a late round KO for Kelly is possible.

I was going to wait until the weigh in for my prediction, but it looks like both are going to come in solid.

If cheating wasn't allowed, I think Pavlik would knock him out easily by the 9th. Unfortunately, it will be allowed as one of the super 4 are not refing the fight. I think Pavlik wins a solid, not super wide but not close, UD over Hopkins.

Team Pavlik successfully got Morton removed from the fight. He was friends with Borenard. No word on the replacement.
