The game is better off with no ref. I played the Prizefighter demo and I couldn't even move because I would always run into the ref.

instead of getting upset by the ridiculousness of this statement, i'll just tell you why its GREAT that the ref isn't there... The ref is always behind the camera. Your seeing the action from the refs Point of View. thats why. now sit back and patiently wait graciously for the greatest boxing game to grace a console.

Feel better now that you got that off your chest? What is more important to you, being able to fight on the inside, and have reach and clean punching matter or a ref in the ring. It would appear (and i know that it is still early) that EA is going to give us a quality boing title that fans have been asking for.

I honestly could care less about the ref. Just to see a ref in the ring that breaks clinches from time to time? I don't see the purpose in that. It doesn't add anything in terms of the gameplay to me and it takes away development time from something else that's much more important. We need to pick our battles better and stop complaning about garbage.

Man you don't know what you just stirred up, people that don't want it in the game will crucify you, it's sad can't nobody respect another person opinion, I to think it should be in the game because it's those little things you see that make the experience that much authentic. I was in the madden forums and they showed a screen shot of the quarterback with hand warmers and it made some people experience that much better, you should see what they are commenting. You still had those guys that didn't care about such a little thing and they would ruins someone else experience because they didn't feel the same way, sad really. To me the ref is not a small feature because he interacts in the fight like in real life. Since they have inside boxing it really makes since now.

Hey, its game, just use your imagination and imagine your looking at the fight through the refs eyes. Now....when I knock you out, you can see the ref all you want.....through the boxers eyes, while the ref is counting you out. Pharoethagreat is my tag, and I'm knocking blocks off come June.

If there was i'm sure there would be a option to turn the ref off and on.
