    some people care about it some don't care, it's boxing. Just played ufc demo they have a referee, he doesn't get in the way or anything, it adds authenticy to the sport. I prefer boxing over ufc, so what't EA excuse for not having one.....lol

        Well EA prides its' self on saying "its in the game"....so why leave the ref out?.....

        and yes Totalownership, Prizefighter did a great job of interpreting a ref in the game...its was a decent job. very slept on game but thats beyond the point...atleast they had it in there....

            I think I've mentioned this before- The devs stated that the ref would likely interfere with the physics. The UFC game while great, has physics that are vastly simplified compared to Round 4. Based on what I've played, I'd have to believe them. Even the ring itself was interfering with the physics in the early build. I can't imagine what havoc a third model in the ring would cause. Also, there's multiple camera angles to consider. I don't know if a ref, which is PURELY aesthetic, is a good trade-off for multiple camera angles, which is functional.
