If Clottey would've kept going to the body Cotto wouldn't have survived, period. Cotto's cut took less damage because he could move away from Clottey in the later rounds. Clotty lost this fight because he got away from his gameplan. But no way 116-110 was possible in this fight.

Cotto should have won, but 116-111 is ridiculous. Clottey says he fought his heart out, but he didn't in the end. He pissed away the championship rounds and spent too much time complaining.

I thought Clottey won the fight. Cotto showed a lot of heart but there's no way he won that fight 116-111 like one of the judges had it. Bottom line is there was no way Clottey would win a close decision against Cotto in NYC. I'd love to see a rematch but I'm sure Cotto will not get back in the ring with Clottey.

I see a lot of people have fell in love with the so-called busy fighter the Jim Lampley complex. Busy doesn't mean effective for the simple fact Cotto wasn't landing. I have a more critical eye, I don't give a damn how many you through or how busy you are. Tell me when you hit someone.

Clottey should had taken more advantage of that cut. I thought he could win the fight, but Cotto kept fighting and that's what won him the fight.
