Lots of New Q&A Info from the EASports Forum(Brizzo)

How much Microsoft Points will the boxers for DLC cost?
And when you retire from legacy mode will your boxer in fight now have bad attributes like at the end of legacy mode or will his attributes be when he was at his best?
    Thanks EA,
    David.
Don't have an answer on exact DLC content or cost at this time.

Created Boxers for Fight Now and Legacy Mode are completely separate and we just allow you to create talented (high rated) boxers for Fight Now without having to play through Legacy Mode.

Can you post a screen of the "Wide" Camera View, and give some more detail about it???

How Customizable are the stats/equipment of the Regular 48 Fighters??
Can't post a screen right now, but the wide camera view lets you see both boxers from head-to-toe for most of the action. Similar to the Referee camera but from a further away.

The Create/Edit Boxer feature is very robust. Each boxer has 14 Boxer Attributes (Power, Speed, Etc) and you can customize their trunks, gloves, socks, shoes, groin protector, mouthguard and robe.

Could we please get a list of all the sliders we will get?

Did you fix the winner announcements and made them more suspensful?

Did you make the ring entrance longer?
In the final version there is a Slider for Boxer Speed, Boxer Power, Boxer Toughness, Referee Foul Awareness, Referee Damage Awareness, CPU Punch Output, CPU Offensive Awareness and CPU Defensive Awareness.

The Post Fight Decision Announements are different in the final version.

The ring entrances are the same length in the final version. This iis not something we would have been able to address in a short period of time. We will have to look into it for DLC.

how many arenas are in the game
    There are 12 different venues.

IN Legacy Mode can we watch other cpu fights or do we just get results.
Nope. Sorry, you can only see the results.

Will there be a stamina slider?
Not in the final game, but possible for DLC.

Can we lower the value of regeneration percentages for the corner mini game? If not can and will you all make this an option via DLC?

There is no option to adjust the percentages. It is something we can look at for DLC.

Can we adjust sliders before we send a challenge to an online opponent? Say if I wanted the fight speed ramped up can I do this before I challenge the opponent, he looks at the settings/sliders and the can accept or decline?
At present, all online fights must use default settings. That type of advanced match customization really caused a lot of online problems. But this is something we are still working on.

You say you will be adding buttons via DLC, can this only be used for offline play? TPC all around for online play is the fairest way to go or only make it so buttons can be used in unranked matches if they are included online.
We might be adding buttons via DLC. Whatever we do, we will ensure that the integrity of online play is maintained.

Will multiple weight division fighters be added in their other weight classes via DLC at a later time?
    That is a possibility.

If all these fighters are in their prime why is James Toney a Heavy Weight and jermaine Taylor a Light Heavy? Both should be middle weights. And again, will these fighters along with others be included in their other wight classes VIA DLC?
If boxers were still active, or if they requested it, we included them in their current division. We include the original 8 divisions. Since Taylor fights at Super Middle now, he was bumped up from middleweight to the next available division.

What are the 4 difficulty levels?
    Amateur, Pro, Champion and G.O.A.T.

Will Tessitore, Atlas and the ring announcer say peoples names in the database and will your name be visible to your opponent or say boxer on the meters like in previous fight nights?
There is an audio name database that Tessitore and Atlas announce. The name on the trunks will appear as long as it is not rejected for profanity reasons. I believe the meters display the XBL gamertag or PSN name.

When you import CABs that will be CPU controlled into legacy mode will their attributes change and can you set their record before you start the legacy. Ex. I create Margarito, can I make his record 37-6 and have it stay that way when I import him as a CPU controlled CAB?
The boxers retain their attributes, but you can't create their records. Otherwise they would retire super-early and by the time you fought them their record would have changed anyway.

This is a pretty big letdown for me...I had all my tracks ready to go, but theres not much point now of adding them if the entrances are are only 15-18 secs long like in the demo.

No Staminia Slider???Who around here said there was??? I could have sworn there was a CD guy who said it was in

Every argument against buttons centered around "the punches are unrealistically fast" and now that I see there's no stamina slider (way to go on that one JayBee! :P) and you have to use the default settings online, it is horribly apparent to me that instead of actually working on balancing that, they just got rid of a control scheme and remade TPC so people playing for the first time would (naturally) be less efficient, take slightly longer to throw punches and things would slow down to realistic levels.

By the time they get good enough to get back to the same "Hey whoa, I'm throwing six hooks in 2 seconds" speed, they've already bought the game!

Ohhhh noooo tell me it aint so. Looking into a stamina slider as DLC? I could've sworn that I read that a stamina slider was def in the game, in fact I know I did.

They done made me salty now. I can deal with it, but damn. Hopefully its tweaked to work well in the final version. I still have faith that it'll be fine come next week. Damn.

Ok, I have to get this off my chest right quick. I've taken a deep breath and come to grips that there will be no stamina slider (initially) Im calm now, lol.

Riddle me this **** right here. A boxer speed slider? I'm not really feelin that. Stay with me. Look, the boxers already have set speed ratings, that and that alone should determine their speed ya know? Why would I change it? I'm not actively changing the actual rating correct?

So say for example, ole boy has 95 speed right. I drop the slider to 0, you tellin me he has a set speed of 95 in the game but he'll be moving slow as molasses? It doesn't make sense, why would anyone want to turn their boxers speed down (and if your playin realistic and sim style, why would you want to increase your slow boxers speed?)

Same thing applies with power. If the dude is weak in the real world, it has been accurately reflected in the game right? I love to play sports titles SIM style. Why would I want to raise up his power if he truely has no power? Thats where the strategy comes in, you have to play to each boxers strengths and weakness correct.

Oh, folks just gonna go in the menu and turn their boxers power up so they can destroy everyone thus eliminating the challenge, thats real. Same for toughness.

Now on another note, the ref sliders, I can see myself crankin those up all the way. Same with CPU off/def awareness, those are getting cranked to max capacity. I dont know about punch output yet.

On the other hand, I guess I can adjust em to my liking and leave em alone from there huh? This last line just nullified my whole post, lol. I just wanted to rant for a sec.
I'm going to find a set of sliders that mirror reality as close as I can get.

Still trippin on the lack of stamina sliders though. Damn.

Its obvious there going to add some things via DLC, looks like they want to get the game out first and see how the fans react. Just because there isn't any button configuration and stamina slider doesn't mean the game is going to be bad.....Patients Young Grasshopper.

Heard a report from somebody at IGN that setting the slider to MAX speed was the way to go because of the feeling of extra UMPH in the punches but it will of course be a personal decision and if you're playing mostly online you might not even mess with it. Of course The speed and power settings also effect your CPU or Human opponent.

I don't know about the speed slider...personally I think the speed is fine the way it is, but some people may prefer that they move faster or slower. As far as upping the speed making it easier to move around, I don't think that matters either because both fighters will be quick and the problem still exists. The problem with evading was what they say a "locomotion" problem, which they said they looked into for the final version, so we will see.

As for the punch power, This is a slider I will crank up. Personally, I think the punches ARE too weak. There's no way I should be able to hit someone with 10 solid punches in a row and they are nowhere near hurt. Even when I fight against a non-controlled 2nd player, I can connect with like 5 straight HAYMAKERS, and the other fighter is not even hurt. So I will be cranking the punch power up...however, I want the health regeneration to remain the same. This will actually force the defensive fighter to retreat, and thus eliminate the toe to toe slugfest.

Ah, blaming me for the stamina slider rumor that has been circulating among the masses for several weeks now (classy). I stand by my comments (see below) about stamina of a week ago minus the stamina slider. I was actually trying to engage in a mature exchange of ideas, but I can see pettiness got the better of you.
"Keep in mind the developers said the retail game will have the fighters tire more and regenerate energy (between rounds) less. Add to that the fact that it is only a three rounder you are working with and long term or even mid term fatigue cannot be properly gauged. Also as I and another poster noted in two player games (although my opponent was terrible) a combination of missed/too many punches and taken body shots resulted in knockouts attributable to an empty yellow bar. In my fights the KO happened in the second round. Both times Hatton slumped forward on bent knee as if he just felt the effects of a Mickey (a drug laced drink).
And finally you will have tremendous flexibility with the fatigue slider and other "slider cousins" of fatigue such as damage and power.

So your argument is that the sticks slow down the action to realistic levels until everyone gets so "stick proficient" that it will be a breeze to throw multi punche combos (or your "6 hooks",yawn....). Then the game gets boring because stick punching becomes so easy. Did you read the part where the retail version has more stamina loss and and less stamina regeneration?

By the time they get good enough to get back to the same "Hey whoa, I'm throwing six hooks in 2 seconds" speed, they've already bought the game!
Thats not why they got rid of buttons......

Do some homework and you'll notice the difference is large between FNR4 and FNR3 conf.....
