Same here. I'm trying to remember the last time I was this juiced about a game prior to release - it might have been when I pre-ordered Diablo 2.

the only reason I want it disabled is because there aren't haymakers for CROSSES. So basically it makes all fighter's most powerful punches a hook or uppercut. I can deal with it especially after hearing that there are power sliders and speed sliders and also the fact that the devs made the crosses more powerful in the retail version.

I also heard, that stamina slider and haymaker crosses are being considered for a DLC. if this happens, along with the other sliders such as punch output, def.off awareness, fighter speed/power....that will make the game very editable to suit the sim nuts.

Imagine this scenario on this slider setting. ( with the added stamina slider/and haymaker cross)

      Power- near max or max
      Stamina- very low
      speed- high
      punch output- low
      Def/off awareness - near max/max

and of course if not the highest level, one level below it

You're going to have to play sim and extra careful because one punch from the cpu can KO you. You don't wanna punch too much because you will be gassed out combined that with the harder to penetrate defense of the cpu due to the upped def awareness.

Also, high off. awareness will force you to be extra careful on defense since the cpu will be more adept at exploiting mistakes.

Potentially, this can really be a great sim game OFFLINE provided that the DLC additions come through. Even of they don't, I think the sim heads can tialor the game pretty close to real life.

Scoot over folks, i'm back on the bandwagon.

oh....and the R.E.A.L A.I will also take the game to another level.

so since there is NO stamina slider, we can throw 200 punches in a round without ANy negatives? Right?

Seems to me a stamina slider or NERfed stamina overall should have been a primary focus.

ya if the retail version is like the demo version, it's an ABSOLUTE game killer, but they say stamina has been changed for the release, so we can only hope that it's closer to realistic levels.

I don't see it as a game killer at all.

We already know that the CPU punch output can be modified with sliders.

Therfore, it's only an issue for the Human Player, and then, only if you CHOOSE to abuse it.

If you exercise a little willpower and don't exploit it, I don't see where it would be a problem at all. It's as simple as just not throwing 200 punches a round.

shortening the rounds might help too for stats...and there is an option for that

The 24 minute 1UP video featuring a two human match between Foreman and Lennox Lewis showed significant stamina loss but the two combatants didn't body punch enough to reduce it even more. A lot of punches were thrown and by round 8 an eyeball look at total available stamina had Foreman at 36% and Lewis at 28%. The two gamers were complaining about lack of power in there punches. The end came at the hands of a regular Foreman right hook with about 1:10 left in round 8.

yea I am not worrying. It would be sweet if maybe they we can use sliders for unranked matches if we setup a league or something.

Does anyone think the fighters hand power is 2 close together? I think Pac had like a 3 power difference. Does that make a big enough difference?

Maxing out punch power and the game will play very different Im thinking and a stamina slider would be great.
