Who Thinks Fight Night Round 5 Should Add More Current Boxers In The Game?

I know FNR4 hasn't even dropped yet but I'm a little disapointed that there is a lack of current boxers in the game. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the demo and all but I am one of those guys who like to have current boxers in the game but also keep all the legends. Look at UFC they have hella fighters in the game.

I am a sim player from football to basketball games so I really want things to be realistic. It just doesn't look right when I start my career with Vladimir Klitschko and he faces Ali or Frazier in Career mode.

I am not saying to take out any of those boxing legends because I am all for them to be in the game. It's fun to play against a buddy of mine using Iron Mike and Ali but in Career mode it isn't realistic to me. I just feel that the career mode should have more current boxers in the game. They should have like 20-30 in each weight class or some made up ones instead of me fighting the legends.

If UFC can add alot of current fighters why can't Fight Night?

What do you guys think of this?

Not too sure, but I think it is easier because the UFC is an actual fighting promotion where as Boxing is more independent. There is no boxing promotion. Fighters are more on there own. In the UFC fighters are all signed by Dana White so I guess it is easier for them to go into their video game...

Its all about the mula....If EA could reach a agreement with certain fighters, they would sign them, I know a few guys belong to Don King and in order to get them EA would have to go through Don King, and we all know what happens when you do business with Don King.

Its all about the mula....If EA could reach a agreement with certain fighters, they would sign them, I know a few guys belong to Don King and in order to get them EA would have to go through Don King, and we all know what happens when you do business with Don King.

I always wondered how much prizefighter effected fight night, theres proable 10 fighters i would take out of that game and put in fight night.

Yeah I agree, of the top of my head I can say Arthur Abraham and Samuel Peters....But come to think of it, Joe Calzaghe and Kelly Pavlik were on Prizefighter and there on FN4.

It would never hurt to have more fighters, but honestly, I would not want to compromise not having any legends for the sake of having a totally current roster.

Those who have been watching boxing for the past 20 years or more can see the change in climate, and its nowhere near the same now as it was then. There were WAY more great fighters back then. I would rather fight as legends than have to choose from these no name overrated prospects we have now.

I mean there are 48 fighters, most ever in a FN game. What more do you want?

I understand what you're saying but the fact that we'll have 48 real boxers and tons of fictional generated boxers to fill out Legacy mode is impressive to me. There is also the new import a photo to make boxers and to me that will make things easier when making real boxers left out.. plus DLC and import music.

Ive been wwnting this since Legends of The Ring for Sega LoL....Nothing against the legends but I would lije a boxing game tgat is finally focused on new boxers...that'll never happen tho

I mean they have given us Leonard,Hearns,Duran,and Hagler. Those four guys in itself is great to have, they had the 80's on fire with there classic bouts, not to mention you add IMO the most followed boxer of his time since Ali in Mike Tyson, man when I seen the roster I didn't complain at all.

Not to mention that Photo Game Face brings the possibilty of endless creations.

Relax boys this game is gonna Have tons DLC as its only made every other year , saw Oscar and a few others playing as themselves in a commercial .
plus create a boxer has 90 slots .:wink: plus tons of unlockables .
My only gripe is $$$ how much will they charge per boxer I have a bad feeling DLC may charge per boxer and if thats a piece 4 guys may cost $20 .
I mean if its every other year they could make some real $$$ adding on instead a new release, just my thoughts , I will start looking for this game early monday everywhere but gamestop as they NEVER break street

Listen to the FN audio review on the Main Boxing thread page Its a 2 hour or longer review as 2 of them have the game and go over everything and tons more info then the guys who have the game here give no offense to them ,but I listened to it 2 times its the only thing helping me wait till tuesday.
It starts slow but then they cover EVERYTHING .
Not sure who they are but they have a inside and 1 may work for EA .
Its seems like none of you even bothered to listen ?

I'm not saying leave the legends out. I just don't want to fight like them in career mode like what they did with FNR3. I rather box against current boxers in career mode. I only like to use legends when I'm going online or playing against my friends.

They have money to buy the NFL and NCAA liscense what makes you think they can't do this?
