This is why I love this OS Forum:

My brand new retail copy of FNR4 yesterday popped into my 360 tray and gets stuck on initial splash screen. However, the demo plays perfectly. So I assume it is the game disc, or the 360 ?? So weird, all my other games run perfectly without any issues.

So I try downloading game onto the 360 hard drive (20gb) and same result - gets stuck in splash screen. Wow - this has never has happened to me before with any game or demo? Im now pissed upset! But wait, I have a back-up 360 (RRD that was repaired) and out of curiosity popped the disc game in, and the game runs perfectly! I ruled out its a bad disc theory, so now I assume if the disc is fine the problem is with my primary 360 (hdd, laser, etc?) ??

Today I jump online here the OS Forums and read this FNR4 thread. So Im not the only freeze victim, But wait - I am also streaming from my home pc to my primary 360 via wireless Lan with WMC. I shut down WMC streaming media on my pc, and Voila!! The game runs & plays perfectly on my primary 360.

Conclusion: it appears the freeze issues is definitely associated with media streaming or with custom playlists! Hope this helps.

The EA guys I was helping with the issue sent me an email telling me to pick any two EA games that have already been released and they will send them to me for helping them out.

Yep it was Connect 360 for me too. The fix is too delete your playlists or shut down any media sharing.

So do I have to delete all of my custom playlist, or just get the number of songs to less than 35 or so?

I really don't want to get rid of my NCAA Football stadium songs.

lol i just told yall a simple fix..u dont have to make all those settings changes..just take the plug out your xbox..start the game...then put it back in after the intial screen that usually locks up.

Dont change your whole setup when the problem is only in the startup screen.

just unplugging my internet cable didn't do jack. I tried several times plugged and unplugged, no difference.

There are a few fixes for this issue (Straight from EA)

1) Delete playlists. Something with the music file sharing is causing the game to crash.

2) Unhook your harddrive, but before you do, back everything up to a memory card/flash drive.

3) Unhook network cable. Reboot network/router/internet connection. Reconnect to Xbox and reboot Xbox.

So far these fixes have fixed 99% of issues.

definitely a media sharing issue. I was stuck having to constantly unplug then replug my ethernet cord for the xbox, but thanks to this thread, I just disabled media sharing to it, and the game loads up fine now.

If the playlists are on the HDD and not a networked PC, that does nothing to help the problem.

I have this issue as well. I just had to shut down my TVersity server.

Sounds like they're working on a patch though (read Update on 1st post)

I've been having a blast with this game, but recently its been getting really frustrating. I'm only 8 fights into my career, and it has frozen many times. On a plus note, I have imported a few created boxers, and instead of my face being shown next to my name it shows another. I have a 20gig HD, and I have no playlists. I've tried disconnecting, but no luck. Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes?

BTW, this is a separate reason as to the title screen freeze like the demo. As I had no freezes at all in my demo.

I'd like to know if anyone knows a way to fix this issue for the ps3...I had a successful run at a legacy without any freezes, I was like 35 fights in or so and then I decided to make a new one since I had a lot of cab's I wanted to import. Plus I was getting better at the game and wanted to make a real run at getting the G.O.A.T status. But now on my new legacy I am getting a freeze anytime I load it up, a bit frustrating.

After signing out I'm able to get in a fight but anytime I do anything regarding the menu system it freezes. I have no custom playlists and I had a media sharing system set up between my ps3 and cpu but I deleted that, still freezes.
