Haven't played online yet but i don't see how that would work against someone good. Being so predictable like that is going to cause you to get countered and cause the mini parry stun effect from FN3. It seems like someone good who can mix up their combos should should win. But who knows, i hope it's not like this.

Legacy mode will get ALL my attention--Online IS exactly as stated...A stick mash slobber-fest without an ounce of realism whatsoever.

LOVE FN4 alot....but online is a friggin joke and a half. ZERO skill or preperation required.

UFC is alot better overall online.....Legacy mode is VERY well done. It is challenging and FUN.

If they NERF the hell out of fatigue (online and off) i will be even happier than i am now....Overall the game is solid aside from the pizz poor online play.

But isnt EVERY online game nowadays pretty pathetic with all the chumps out there? Why should we expect ANYTHING different

and yes u can avoid people who fight like this but u really dont know until u fight, fighting the computer 100% of the time gets tiring sometimes, good to mix it up with a human i suppose

has anybody been able to win consistently fighting on the outside???
I have had good fights while fighting on the outside against people playing sim/style. But the spammers the only thing that has worked has been to bully them back or quit. terrible.

remeber he was number 5 and he is now number 2

so im pretty sure amongst his 40+ fights he has faced somebody remotley capable

that's why EA needs to incorporate R.E.A.L stamina hehe....

make it 2 options...casual (current stamina) and Sim (real stamina) then everyone can enjoy. No way EA will make the stamina realistic by default, because 90 percent of the players will complain since they can't brawl. But they really should look into adding a stamina penalty. All problems solved. I'm just happy the offline portion of the game is top notch. Adapting AI is what makes the game awesome IMO for offline.

              Online blows....really does.

Hehe. I've had an 360 since shortly after launch and have had a Gold membership just long enough to get some online achievements. The ONLY game I EVER played online that wasn't full of 13-year-old-acting douchebags was Star Trek Legacy.
Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...

As I stated from the get go...not allowing for sliders (and not even having fatigue slider at all) for online, unranked play was a HUGE mistake. These are the type of things that shouldn't be missed. I hate, hate not having the ability to change the boxer speed for online matches.

ya Online really falls short for the simheads....it's a shame because it's so easy to fix....

I still don't think it is awful as I only do unranked so there is less "cheese," but I also am holding out hope for patches.

Regardless, I only do online for COD's. The single player AI is so good that I am pleased.

Is online this bad, i have decided to reopen my hard heart to this game as it is the only one coming out for a while worth anything

Can People who have played online speak on this??? this is important because he is supposedly number 2 in the world and he wins this way

Is there no hope at all for oustide boxing???

Dude see post in the impressions thread. There is no way that guy can beat Ali on GOAT playing like that. He will get picked apart by someone using Ali and knowing how to box and play the game correctly. Outside fighting is def possible you just can't get caught and you have to know how to defend and actually move. Flick the L stick and he will not simply stand in front of you and slug you. I guess if you choose to brawl back yea the above guys story will happen but that's stupid even if your Tyson against Foreman.

Yea honestly you could play this game exclusively offline the AI is very good (bottomline your crazy if you don't think its miles better than FN3).

Online will be fine especially if you play with guys from OS that know how to box. There could be some glitches exploited to the X degree but I'm not aware of any yet.

I also think UFC is also a very fair game online and there isn't anything that cant be countered with the right fighter.

I can see FN4 being very frustrating initially but skill and strategy will definently prevail.

I just fought Foreman online using Ali and was able to easily avoid a super aggressive opponent. I outpunched him at a 61%-39% clip, won every round and KOed him in the final round. He stunned me with an uppercut haymaker midway in the fight but was no threat whatsoever. His stamina was way low by the 6th. However:
                                1. The guy sucked (but I'm not that good either)
                                2. 89 of his 722 punches thrown were haymakers. He landed 17 of 89 haymakers.
