    Online play is AMAZING

Well I am flat out lost as to why everyone is complaining about stamina issues, body spammers, punch spammers, body haymaker spammers, etc. I have faced all the above and had ZERO and let me reiterate that again ZERO issues stopping these guys. I am starting to get sick of all the complaining. I have been playing almost completely online and have only lost 1 match so far. I don't throw extreme amount of punches, I throw accurate shots. I am pretty decent at head movement which opens up tons of counter options for me. I want to talk about the main issues at hand.

Guys who throw 1000 plus punches
If you are blocking correctly it removes stamina from them while maintaining your stamina. This also opens them up to easy counter punching from them letting the hands fly to loosely. Then these guys who throw all these punches also when they do connect are connecting with drained temp stamina and doing far less power than your full stamina counter shots.

    Body spammers
Yet again if you are blocking correctly then there is no "Vacuum effect" if you are blocking. You can move back, you can even throw jabs and straights right as they are punching which will stun them and force their punch to be stopped. Stepping back as they come in for body shots and use your jab is the most effective way to continue to rain blows on them and slow wear them down.

    Body Haymaker Spammers
I have seen this posted and thought it was a joke at first. First of all the haymakers in general are slow to come out and you have plenty of time to step back and force them to swing at air. Doing this drains a large portion of their stamina when they miss with a haymaker. PLUS like posted above. A simple quick jab are straight will stop the haymaker in its tracks right as he beings to throw it.

    Finial thoughts
I am starting to feel that people just come here and complain rather than get better at the game. I have not faced a single "cheese" tactic yet that I feel is over powered and needs to be delt with ASAP. The only issue I am having is the talk of DLC for button punching. This should NOT happen in my opinion. Everyone should learn to play with the sticks. It is fair and everyone is in the same boat. It promotes skill over just randomly pressing buttons. While the same can be said for the stick. Hitting for the open areas takes more skill.

I am openly challenging anyone to add me on your friends list. Try and use the most cheesiest tatic you believe to be cheese and over powered. I want to show you it can be countered with correct gameplan, use of that gameplan, and effective counter punching.

    Well said..

Agree with everything except that vacuum effect

Everyone once in a while I face somebody who's mastered the vacuum/body spam combo.. I'll kill em on the cards in every ran, then about the 8/9/10th round when my stamina/health is starting to run low, they'll get a KO after sucking me in and connecting on a few lucky shots.. That **** is the worse

Just curious though, whats your record online, are you playing in the World Championship(which weight class) or just random ranked quick matches with included roster

The body haymaker issue isn't as bad as the others. My personal issue is that there isn't enough stamina lost while throwing them. Even while catching air, there still isn't enough stamina lost.

I'm not 100% on board yet, but last night was the first time I beat a guy who used such tactics, and let me tell you, I jumped out of my seat and released a paragraph of verbage that would make my parents ashamed. Vulgarities flew out of my method with no rhyme or reason. I finally one and was taunting this guy, telling him to "Get up, B****."

I think once I get blocking down I may start seeing more wins.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

All cheesers are not built equally. If you've faced on that is highly skilled in body spam cheese, they are near impossible to beat. They cut off your ring space well and will start throwing body-head combos to throw off your block. The only way to defeat them is to beat them at their own game, which I hate doing.

This is coming from a player who is 76-13 in world championship. Almost all my losses are to players like this.

I been sticking to player matches mainly. I have only fought like 5 or 6 ranked matches and a handful of world champ matches (middle weight). I plan on diving into the World championship fights alot more this week.

I find you tend to find better caliber players in player matches. Less cheese. But it is still there, you still get the ******s here and there. Last night I had TWO quits around the 5th round in player matches.....I mean come on. You can't take a loss on a player match!!!

Actshaun, I do agree that stamina should be tweeked. The high out put of punches need to be addressed slightly. I don't think it is far off. I think the long term stamina is pretty good. It is the short term temp stamina that needs to get boxers winded quicker. Flurries of 25 punches should be exhausted fighters.

But with all that said. I truly feel they game is very balanced and for a first you can beat these cheese tatics.

I've won a lot of fights in this game against cheesers. For the most part they're easy to beat by just outboxing them. However, like clivo said, they're not all built equally. I'll never forget my run in against Master Cheese (aka Friday the 13th on XBL). He was on a different level than the run of the mill cheeser, I couldn't do ****. I don't mind taking an L, but losing like that had me kind of heated.

I haven't lost too often in this game yet, so I'll be interested to see what kind of hands you guys have down there in Lousiana. My gym is always willing to help up and coming prospects work on their skills. I've heard you're a project and don't take direction very well, but you do have potential. I might be able to mold you into a decent fighter.

You're right.. There are some cheesers you face they have mastered it.. Its a combination of the head/body spam and the vacuum effect. The later preventing you from effectively sticking and moving or getting away from them at all. Somehow, the game forces you to take small steps back and you can't go anywhere...

If EA patches nothing else, that's the biggest issue I see. The excessive punching can be countered.. At least when you can move

I AGREE, I really enjoy online play.

My Record is 41-17, and once I figured out how the block timing, block meter, and stamina meter all work..I think I may have lost to 1 or 2 spammers...the rest of my losses have been against folks who I have flat out boxed me.

I havent played any world championship matches yet...I'll dive into that this week

I have a lot of fun with this game, and some serious laugh out loud moments against some of these clowns.

                            Re: Online play is AMAZING

I've rented the game and am enjoying it, I've had several fights go to decisions so far. The thing is, I guess I don't really understand what the judges scoring is based on. I don't throw near as many punches as my opponents - I end up somewhere around 50-60 while they're closer to 100 (which I know is way too high to be realistic). But the difference is that I'm blocking or avoiding WAY more punches than they do, so I often have a higher connect % then them. Yet I still lose rounds, and eventually matches. I know knockdowns are an automatic 10-8 round, but other than that I guess I don't understand what looks good to the judges.

As an example, I had a higher connect % than my opponent in all but 2 rounds (8 & 9) and the better % in the entire fight, 57-48. But I lose to a unanimous decision in which all 3 judges agreed on every round. This is how it went down:

                            Code:
                            opponent 10 10 10 10 9 10 9 10 10 9
                            me 9 9 9 9 10 8 10 9 9 10
And I wasn't just jabbing all fight either - I tried to stay outside, but definitely exchanged with hooks and uppers when the fight came inside.

He threw 1008 punches to my 691, and as much as I want to believe that wasn't the main factor, the evidence is pretty clear. And yes, I got knocked down in the 6th round hence the 10-8. That's why I'm not upset at the decision, but it's the other rounds that bother me.
