    24 fights in 73 ovr

I decided to mess around with the legacy and I am now 21-3 with 17 ko's. The problem now though is I am only a 73 overall and most of the other fighters around me are 80 and up. I didn't train like I should have, obviously, but now that I am this deep I wonder if there is anyway to salvage this legacy without getting my head beat in. Any suggestions?

no that's what made me return the game too

mini-game trainings are such a pain that most everyone's auto-training and by the time you break top 20 ranking.. everyone is like 10+ higher or more and basically you're like a 73 ovr facing a 91 ovr ...

    anyhows

this game is broken, 3 years and EA did such a horribly sloppy job going *** backwards from fn3

Training modes really suck. Cant bare to go through most of em. And now I'm in a fight that I'm probably not going to win. The person I booked the fight with(which was a fair match with me being a 74) backed out and now I have to fight some dude who is a machine who never gets tired. This guy throws 20 punches at a time and doesn't get tired. Even working the counter punches does no damage to him. I guess I'll take the loss.

I actually enjoy the training games this time around. Took me a long while to get to where I could get contender or champion on them, but I got there. Now I always do the actual training - not auto train.

As far as your situation, I just padded my record. I was ranked 17th, and Tommy Morrison wanted me to fight him. I checked out his stats ocmpared to mine and about crapped my pants he was so much higher. So I did what all great boxers do - fight people well below my skill level to pad my record, while training - ofcourse, it heps that I have gotten good enough to play the games and have it be a benifit rather than auto training. I then im 20-4 now and getting close to a matchup with Morrison, just got some more "warm up" fights first

hey i dont know if you saw this but you can spread you fight out more and get to to three training sessions between fights.if you do this in the beginning you will be on par or ahead or the higher ranking fighters.

Turn training sessions on Amateur if you are really struggling at them

Are the training mini-games still the watch-the-flashing-icon type?

Build up ur boxer and stop moving up the rankings so soon, if not you are gonna get the same results any other boxer who did so IRL(David Reid) and get pounded.....I dontfight as soon as possible and my stats are on par with everyone else....Training games easy BTW....if you always get champion ever time you use them, it wouldnt be training now would it??? Defeats the purpose....Those mini games really help you getthe controls down....

                  This is my current pace.

                  Name: Derek Hernandez (Me)
                  Record: 11-0
                  Overall: 65

Training I have been doing horrible. Most my training sessions net me +1 in most areas. I have had 2 or 3 sessions where I can get +6. Those are mainly the sparring drills, and the sway bag drills. The heavy bag move and heavy bag combo I am having tough time.

I think it's funny how a lot of you guys just want to rush to being OVR 99 and not have to do anything to get there. I'll admit the training part does suck, but it's not like it takes that much time considering you generally have a couple training sessions before each fight. Training is the essence of each boxer in real life. If you are only good at certain trainings then take advantage of the ratings that it gives you. So if you have great hand speed but no power, then you better learn to stick and move. Not every single boxer is great at everything. That's boxing people.

And if you are that concerned about getting beat, then lower the difficulty.

I like the training and I'm glad they are going for more of a sim this year. Good job!

Well, I usually only fought the guy who was one spot above me, I think where I err'd at was in the fact that most of the time between fights I would only have one training session. I think I may scrap this guy and begin anew.
