Yep, it's been around a lot longer than we have, I'm thinkin.

I remember asking my older brother what it meant during the Leonard-Duran fight (the second one), when the announcer said it.

by definition it means the ability of a boxer to dictate the pace, style and tactics of a fight.......and it's actually part of the judges criteria in scoring a fight, and it has been before tyson.

I'm leaning toward agreeing with you 100% on this one.

Although I think I've figured out what is going wrong in addition to your response.

Anyone who likes to play the training games will notice that you get different amounts of points for certain types of punches AND you get points SUBTRACTED for throwing a punch and the CPU opponent BLOCKS the punch.

So this is what I think is happening (by the way I play on GOAT straight out the box). I'm throwing more punches than the CPU, catchin em with some good ones, but I'm also missing that much more. I think my points are being subtracted on a major scale.

See what I'm sayin, I think the judges score the rounds just like the training events (where you see the points -/+ float up in the air) .

So while the A.I. throws less but more accurate punches, he is actually accumulating more points(with hardly any subtracted points) in the rounds. That has to be the deal. I shall adjust accordingly. Good lookin out on the responses. One.
