stick mashing and actually executing the motion is two different things....I have no problem throwing the punches I want, hence why stick mashers are soooo easy to beat this year unlike a buutton masher in previous versions....

AGAIN, you can beat anyone IF you're good. If you couldn't beat a button masher on FNR3, then you weren't as good as you thought. I used buttons, and could easily beat a button masher.

Not necessarily true.

While practicing the heavy bag combo training this morning, I found a "dead spot" in one of my controllers. Anything on the right stick between "3 oclock" and "6 oclock" registers as "3 oclock". In other words, I can't throw a right uppercut to the body at all. But it's only with that controller.

Don't construe this as a complaint about wanting buttons, because I don't. But the analog sticks aren't perfect.

That's what I'm saying... they aren't perfect. Buttons allow you to make the punch you want to throw at precisely the time you want to throw it. THAT'S SIM BOXING! None of the crap garbage the stick does for u sometimes. Granted I only played this game for a day before i took it back, but I know what I saw and felt.

Still waiting on a link proving this game will be patched to address the stamina issue. There are 14,000 other threads to talk about buttons vs sticks.

Me too unless its against someone from OS

Like UFC, most of my good matches are against the AI...I dont care about stats so winning all the time online isnt fun to me...couple fights I had online were people who just spammed a million body punches and jabs....I easily knocked them down but then eventually get bored and just throw in the towel...So now Im 0-3 in online world championhip and thats how its gonna stay atleast for now.....

Rejoice, Brizzo ( Brian Hayes) and a community manager over at EA have confirmed that the problem with the stamina is known and will be addressed in a patch 'this summer'. Im on a 19 game winning streak since learning how to avoid the robo punchers, but it will be great when realism prevails.

I just played a few fights with my cousin and his friend. And I kid you not, it was the worst experience playing this game yet since having this game. I refuse to play this game with 2 players until they fix the stamina issue. My lil cuzzo friend threw 100 punches the first 6 rounds of the fight with Lennox Lewis and still had over 3/4 of his stamina.And they weren't jabs, he was throwing body punches

It was to the point he did care if his shots was being blocked. He just kept on throwing,no stratagey at all. I was thinking to myself "is this the game I come to know and love"....but then I remembered that there not as SIM as I was.

If you aren't playing a another fellow OS or SIM buff, refuse to play,seriously.

So far stamina is well done in Legacy Mode. Online its been the problem for me, it's made me have to fight a lot more robo-style just to survive. An adjustment where some serious stamina loss happens after too many consecutive punches could serve the purpose. Stamina loss in boxing comes more from throwing haymakers and getting hit to the body. Pro boxers are in such great shape that they could go hit the bag non-stop for 12 rounds if nobody is hitting them back. But too many consecutive punches without a decrese in stamina is what allows robo-punchers to have success. A welcome adjustment would eliminate some of that. But I should master the robo-punchers by the time the patch comes out.

I must be in the minority in thinkingingthat Stamina isnt that much of a problem.


I usually just wait out the barrage and it pays off.

With that said, when I find I'm in a game with a robo puncher now, I just let him knock me out.

I dont want to be bothered with it anymore.

It's a simple formula to beat them, and I just get tired of repeating it.

im not seeing any probs with stamina head to head on the same console. its actually pretty perfect. make sure and not use created boxers unless you balanced their stamina. the boxers that come on the game have pretty low stamina but most create a boxers have very high stamina. i thought this was a online issue only as i see no probs offline. also use your sliders! you can make it were your knocking guys out faster and easier which makes guys play more realistic.
