Yep I have seen knockouts where they just lay there. They are moving a little, but not the whole try to get up and fall down thing. They just kind of lay there and wiggle a tad.WesmanY2k - Xbox 360

Re: 1st round knockouts?
I knocked Tommy Morrison out that way. It was the 2nd time I knocked him down and he was just laying on his back trying to get a read on things and couldn't even remotely try to stand up.Comment

Re: 1st round knockouts?
On top of that I don't like how the guys always try to get up. Sometimes a guy takes one on the chin and it's lights out. He's not even trying to get up. Even after getting knocked down 3 or 4 times in a fight they try to get up.
The animation where the guy gets hit and just falls straight back like he's stiff would be a great one for him not to try and get up.
Anyone knock someone out and they don't try to get up?Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: 1st round knockouts?
Yeh I managed to get a first round knockout of Vinny Paz a couple nights ago with Pernell Whitaker...I came out being a elusive as possible all the while making sure I was efficient and accurate with my punches...Paz came inside and that's where I ate his chin for lunch....I managed to dodge a couple of his hooks and countered with two solid left hand uppercuts square on his chin..He fell like a ton of bricks both times. Ther knockouts were unexpected but undoubtedly enjoyable.Comment

So your damage is on default then? That's reassuring. I just like to know that it can happen.Comment

Re: 1st round knockouts?
I've had knockouts where its the first knockdown and he doesn"t get up. Haven't seen it in earlier rounds myself. When I get floored, I've always gotten up at least once, even when I was hurt and dropped in the last round, though I've used mostly fighters with very good heart. A good test would be to fight against a D-level fighter or whatever, somebody rated in the 60's, and see how often it happens.
I have the same problem with sliders - once I start I'll spend more time tweaking back and forth than playing the game. Default is pretty good, few faults vs CPU, but different story vs human opponent with stamina issue, but these are minor issues and hopefully they will be patched.Comment

Re: 1st round knockouts?
I just got knocked out in the first round in an amateur fight on Champions level.
Got caught with an upper cut and there was no way that I could get up.
Edit: I did get up from the first one but the second one was the end all.Last edited by Rules; 07-05-2009, 09:12 PM.Comment

Re: 1st round knockouts?
I had another 1st KD=KO, on a haymaker counter to a haymaker in the first round. Make sense?
My opponent (cpu) started a hatmaker at the same time I did and his missed which opened the counter window at the exact time mine was coming in and BOOM, down he went. KO!
I did that once online too in a ranked match with lennox lewis, but I don't think it's something I can easily reproduce. It's just one of those times where
you get lucky. LOL.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon.
