Re: Legacy trick/cheat for those interested in maxing out power/stamina after tourney
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Started a new legacy using this cheat last night.
Went 5-0 (5 knockouts) on Champion until I was KO'd by a much lesser rated opponent.
I don't know what it is, but on Champion I seem to have the hardest time getting up a 2nd time.
If a lesser fighter gets lucky and catches me w/ one of those haymakers that sends me down instantly a second KD will likely result in a KO.
I was completely rocking my opponent, my health was barely a qtr of the way gone...his half-way, and I had knocked him down twice already (in two different rounds).
However, he caught me w/ a right hook (Southpaw) and that sent me to the floor. Then w/in 1 minute later I was back down again, and that was all she wrote.
My Heart rating is a 68, Boxer Toughness at 6. Is there anything I can change to make a 2nd KD not end up in a KO...seemingly every time.
-or- Is it a user thing and I'm too aggressive on the left stick?
Advice, help?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

At which point (figure) does the heart rating start to make the mini-game easier?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Not real sure, just know that I can get up much easier in Fight Now with a good fighter than I can with my early Legacy CAB.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

With 80 heart rating I can get up 3 times, four tops. The way I look at it, if you get knocked down more than two times something's the matter, lol.Comment

Re: Legacy trick/cheat for those interested in maxing out power/stamina after tourney
And I am very disappointed that this game still doesnt understand that minigames are a terrible idea in the long run. Minigames have only 2 functions. They either educate or they are the fun change of pace to the general action. Fight night minigames arent a change of pace since you do them every fight, they are the general action just as much if not more than fighting people. They certainly arent educational either. They have no point other than to give you a way to boost your stats. All progression systems based around minigames always wear thin. They are usually too goal oriented and it makes no real world sense (So i cant get stronger if i dont hit the damn heavy bag a certain distance down an arbitrary track?) and they are always tedious over time. I know I can auto train but that only gives u up to 50% of the results.
I would much rather spend 10-15 mins designing a training regimen for my fighter that I can change as I go if I wish (college hoops 2k8 style). Also doing this fosters a much more realistic apporach to the progression and regression of stats. In this instance your punching power might decrease if you werent strength training enough, or your footwork went down cause you didnt spar enough. The point is, I want to design a regimen to an equilibrium point. If I decide to focus more on an aspect and therefore take hits in another then it is my choice, not just arbitrarily thrown upon me. What reckless training camp will focus so much on one thing that you regress in another thing every single time?
Im done venting for now but I was really hoping Rd3 showed the team how boring and tedious minigame training was and I prayed they would leave it out this year....
