I hear ya on NY, and I hear ya on Iron Mike being one of the best to come out of there

but the best boxer to come out of New York has got to be Sugar Ray Robinson imo

I picked Michigan because or SR Robinson, Hearns and Joe Lewis. I did it off the topp of my head. I didn't think about all of the Mexican fighters.

a lot of great ones out of Michigan...the state is even shaped like a boxing glove

as far as SR Robinson, a lot of people say Michigan, where he lived for a time as a young kid...but it seems that most people consider him NY. Harlem is where he moved to at the age of 12 and it's where he became a boxer.

          boxing HOF'ers:
          -Jack Johnson
          -George Foreman
          -Lew Jenkins
          -Terry Norris
          -Curtis Cokes
          -Orlando Canizales

          not too shabby

To my knowledge, my state hasn't produced any HoFers.

We've produced only 1 world champion - Michael Nunn.

It's Puerto Rico or Mexico by far. And in the states, who will have the longest reigning champions/titlist...Flint, MI. Floyd Mayweather, Anthony Dirrell (future), and Andre Dirrell(future)...few other prospects.

It's incredible how many great boxers that tiny island has put out, and Mexico has a huge amount of boxing HOF'ers

                    Yeah, no kidding.

My initial vote went for Mexico, but when you look at per capita percentages, Puerto Rico wins by a WIDE margin.

Just like Roger Mayweather said...the Midwest produced the best fighters.

Chavez or Salvador Sanchez. Morales ranks highly, too.
