    ROFL

My wife plays Farmville/Cafe World/Pet Society/etc. like EVERY day.

It looks HORRIBLY boring, but she's as addicted as I am to my 360.

I agree with you, I think Brizzo is underestimating us a bit on the diet/nutrition thing.

They went many fights without ever touching the canvas and then after a particularly tough fight they couldn't stop being floored.
But that might be tough to program so it'd be best to keep iron chinned guys always tough to knock down.
That's easy. They ALREADY have that in the game with the cut and swelling ratings. The more you get hit, the more you swell. The more you swell over time, the SOONER you swell in future fights.

The game already keeps track of punches landed. Just start decrementing a guys chin rating (or whatever rating is might be) when certain punches land, or certain numbers of punches land. Make a guy injury prone, or lower his chin rating to simulate him suffering the long-term effects of being knocked out.

Brizzo and company have taken a step that most developers nowadays don't - they've extended an invitation to the community to express their ideas and they're actually LISTENING. I would suggest you take a page out of their book, because right now you're acting pretty high and mighty and that's not fair.

As for the wishlist itself - the timeline is not practical at all, it's NECESSARY. There's a big difference. The producers are in the planning stages and want suggestions because that's the cold, hard fact about development cycles. Fight Night Round 4 is done - sure they've probably got a couple of guys working on DLC, but that's not where they make their money. They make their money by releasing a new game, so OF COURSE they're already in the planning stages.

If you think expecting a multitude of PLAYERS to start thinking about the NEXT game 90 days after the release of the current game is practical, you're not thinking it through. Just looking at this forum is evidence of that - there's guys here that have been playing online since release date and JUST NOW started playing Legacy mode. They're not equipped to offer suggestions about how to improve that portion of the game. By the same token, I don't play online, so I'm not capable of submitting ideas there.

And like I said, some of the things I've suggested don't become apparent until you've played through Legacy multiple times. That takes REAL WORLD time. Once you tweak sliders, play online, and then FINALLY get into Legacy mode, sending a wishlist 90 days after release is absolutely too soon.

By releasing the wishlist that early, you've alienated a portion of offline players. Of course, I don't really find that surprising. Pretty much every improvement to the game they've made so far affect online mode only. And given the emphasis on OWC, it seems that's the direction they want to move the game anyway. I don't blame them - it seems like 80% or more of the people here are playing this game online more than offline, and about 50% play online almost exclusively.
Did you even read the wishlist? We had people who help cover nearly every aspect of the game on the wishlist. I'm not a huge online player, so we had people who were. Many of the guys had many hours and days worth of playing time in on this game. We even gathered ideas from various sites all over the internet.

I'm not acting like one of the developers because I already knew what was going to be the biggest complaints. I'm one of Fight Night's biggest critics.

Let me ask this one question. Has anyone ever played the gallop racer series? They do the same sort of thing. Train, raise, etc. Multiple horses, mutliple classes.

This idea is fantastic and could really work with boxing. Even on a smaller scale. Of course breeding champs in boxing would be outta the question.

I read the wishlist after it was released. I didn't contribute because I WAS BUSY PLAYING THE GAME. How hard is that to understand?

Right now you're not acting like the developers, you're acting like a self-important jerk.

I'm sorry you feel that way about me. I just try to let the producer know what the fans want. I don't get paid. I just have a deep passion for boxing that's all.

LOL. But it would explain Laila Ali.

But I remember that game. I never played it but I read about it and thought it was cool.
FN Rd5 can definitely have more out-of-ring intangibles. Otherwise, it's basically like every other boxing game outside the ring.

It's all good man, I really do understand your side of it. I just hope now that you can see where I'm coming from, too.

And hopefully, we can get some cool things into FNR5 Legacy Mode!

Yes, there has to be a trade-off...

Remember when All-Pro Football 2K8 came out? They had a way of balancing the teams where you could only have a couple of gold-star players, etc.. on down, so that certain teams had strengths in some areas and deficiencies in others. Maybe you can do this with a set of attributes in FNR5. Theres always going to be trade-offs in skill-sets, but you need to choose the best that fits your style and hope your opponent doesn't discover your weaknesses.

                    Just a thought.
