    Re: FNR4: SIM PATCH

I've been playing ranked matches online against randoms. and it's been playing awesome really. i took like 2-3 months off from playing this game online. and wow!

what a difference the patch, along with the removal of the opponents bars, and some tweaks to the locomotion and between round damage tweak.

I've had no problem sticking and moving. I no longer get inside fighters stuck to me where i can't move.

I think the game is geared to how you want to play the game. My offline matches are as sim as you can get. I would put this one in the running for sports title of the year no doubt

The biggest problem for me is the gimmick counter windows which is a thousand times worse than round 3 parry, But now we have more of them. Also the Night of Living Dead sequence everytime a fighter gets hurt is just plain out ********.

If Round 5 comes out with any of this garbage, Someone needs to be fired and EAC no longer needs to continue to create boxing titles.

I agree that the oddness during a stun needs to go. It's a very frustrating mechanism at work when your fighter feels like he's in mud.

So when a boxer is stunned, how do you think it should be represented in game?

I think their should be a wide variety, Some fighters do the "Where DId they Go Dance" like Cotto, Some guys come at you even harder, while some guys run or hold.

That Living dead crap has to go.

              Look at 19 Sec in

                Re: FNR4: SIM PATCH

I do hate the counter windows because its basically random. And the haymakers have instant recovery. A dude can throw one, whiff terribly and instantly block the incoming punch. The boxers hands teleport to the block position. terrible. there should be a recovery penalty to throwing them.

The game definitely needs some tweaks since EA is soo damn arcade oriented. I wish these developers with this technology worked over at 2k, and had the creative freedom to pursue a pure simulation of boxing, without being forced to throw in arcade flash and pizzaz mechanics to lure in the casuals.

They have to remove that awkward mechanism that gives you the sense you are suddenly walking neck deep in water. If I stun you, I'm going to jump on it, not have to slowly drudge across the ring in pursuit of you.

Agreed, the slow-motion stun sequence is annoying.
