Well, I guess u saw the fight and someone posted a video of Floyd taking a punch and recovering, so lets dead that argument.

With that being said, power, toughness and chin are not skills, those are physical attributes. So I will ask again, what SKILLS does Floyd lack?

Jesus. Can he talk ANY faster. Seriously?

Anyway, I can't say I'm a fan of him. I enjoy watching him box though and I don't really have anything against him.

Floyd is not a great finisher, with savage power followed by four- and five-punch combos to buckle guys. Floyd would rather be surgical and win rounds than put people away immediately with risky multi-punch combos.

He's also not the greatest inside fighter. I can't see him flourishing in a fight with the brawl-in-a-closet style of Corrales-Castillo I.

But Floyd doesn't need that savage finishing ability or inside fighting ability because his speed, counterpunching and defense are so otherworldly. That's a credit to him.

last night he fought well inside and he was going for the finish last night but he just isn't a power guy and he wont put himself in too much danger just to get a KO. If its there he'll take it but he just wants to win.

The bolded part is all that matters. Just because Floyd doesn't fight on the inside doesn't mean he can't. His reach is longer than most welterweights, so what would be the point of fighting on the inside. Also, I'm sure if Floyd really pressed the issue, he could have finished Shane. Like Roger was telling him in the corner "stay behind the tape." If the KO happened, cool, but Floyd wasn't gonna deviate from his strategy and take the risk of getting caught with a lucky shot.

He fought well inside last night? I don't think so. I think he just clinched along with Shane the VERY rare times that Kenny Bayless let them fight inside.

It had zero result on the outcome, but I think Bayless did a poor job as the third man in the ring. He was too evident, too disruptive. Too much like f*cking Joe Cortez.

First, I'm a James Toney fan, especially at MW and SMW. I believe he could be in the GOAT discussion if he could have controlled his weight. I love Toney defensive fighting style. That bring me to Mayweather. I believe Floyd's D is just as good/possible better than JT's. Hs is extremely confident in his skills also. Two things I like in a boxer. Maybe this is just my thinking, but I've alway felt the GOAT boxer would be a defensive based boxer with counter skills. They are techniains in the ring and nearly impossible to beat.

Basically like I told one of my buddies at work yesterday morning. A good defense trumps a good offense every single time, in every single sport, in every single aspect of the two words. Floyd and his people subscribe to that and they go out and display why it's a true statement every time he steps through the ropes. That's really all that needs to be said about Floyd Mayweather.

I am a fan of Floyd Mayweather the boxer, but not the out of ring conduct. Yes I know that it's all for show and to sale tickets, but some times I think he goes over board, and can be very child like. But he is IMO the best fighter of his era.

but as you can see in postfight interviews and such that Floyd is respectful towards his opponents once the fight is over and is not an *** once he's done having to promote a fight. Its amazing the difference between Pre-Fight Floyd and Post-Fight Floyd. 2 different people. Thats why i can tolerate the act because i know he doesnt mean a lot of what he says and he does it to piss people off and sell the fight. Plus i love a guy who can be that cocky and continue to back it up.

Floyd got the best of the inside exchanges. He was smart with how he clinched and although i agree with what you said about Bayless, Floyd picked up how he was refing the fight and was able to be slicker and craft with the clinches. He would get out of the clinch and catch Mosley as they seperated, he didnt allow Mosely to get anything going in the clinch, he was very smart. Even Naz warned Shane that Floyd was getting him when they were seperating.

lol..I don't even have to click on it. Is it the part about taking the punch and that's part of the toughness of the sport? I though of this conversation when he said that.

No doubt he showed some toughness in round 2. It was crazy seeing his knee buckle for a second, but he did hold through.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
