    Beating Packman

Family I am really enjoying the demo. BUT Pack is killing me as Cotto though. What type of fight should I be trying to make it get my revenge ?

I defend and counter. I recently beat Pack 3 rounds to 0. I never slug it out with Pac. I throw my punches and get out the way. I also use my right hook and over hand rights against Pac.

I like to work the jab just slightly, but less than Pac. Then land a quick jab, with a stiff modified right straight. Bounce out of range and repeat with your flavor of 2 punch combos. I rarely extend combos past 3 in the first 2 rounds because Pac will counter you to death. Then in the 3rd when he starts slowing down I will go into more of a stand and bang mode and look to land big power hooks to the body and head, working on power uppercuts in also.

I think the key to beating Pac is not trying to exchange with him. Mix up when you attack and stick to regular attacks in get in and get out.

Also remember when holding block that you move slower, so after you attack use the flick away step to bounce back outside THEN use the left stick to move away. Holding RT and trying to move will cost you in possibly eating some shots through your guard.

Yea, you have to move in and out against pac dude. He has vicious 1 punch stopping power so you have to respect that. Depending on your skill level, you can even stand in there and bang with him if your bob/weave/sway game is good. Thats very risky though, you have to be cold on the sticks to do that.

Sometimes I'll try to bang with him, but if you slip up with your weave game and he catches you its a wrap.

          I can bust Pac-man's a$$ fairly well.

You can't slug with him. Use back and side to side quick step moves and counter. The problem is the counters won't seem to hurt pac much in this demo. Pick your shots. Throw combo's when you can. Use head movement.

Pac always tries to come back with a fast left straight...

so hit em with a 1-2 to the body at mid range and then back step and counter

Don't try to land too much more then that, because hes sneaky with that power modified left hook in a prolonged flurry exchange

OH hell yeah. Beautiful tips Fam ! In a way I think I get caught up trying to win each exchange cause his punches LOOK like they hurt a lot more than mine and I'm hanging around too long and getting caught.

He is not Knocking me out but the decisions are all lopsided even when I feel like I controlled the round. I'm going to put some of this advice to work tonight. EXCELLENT tips men. much appreciated !

                Da Czar! Whats good fam.

These are all great tips, but the hard part is executing and following through on your plan after getting countered and losing some exchanges.

I've kind learned that patience is the key to this game. Unfortunately in a 3 round fight you can't be too patient because the other fighter will be more active and win the rounds.

I'm dying to lower the accuracy!

BINGO. I can't use a 12 round strategy in a 3 round fight... LOL. But your right though impatience in this game can be damaging.

I did some testing last night and Pac's over hand modified left is way over powered. I went online and knocked out every Cotto I faced just throwing that punch.

I will need a little more time test but give it a shot and see what you think.

I'm using a 12 round strategy and losing all three rounds on the cards lol but I'm just getting my skills down and once the game is released I'll stop Pac in the later rounds. I'm been mixing it up between boxing and brawling working on my game inside and out against pac. On the outside I'm backing him up behind may jab, using 1, 2 combs and countering his straight left which causes him to clinch a lot but Pac don't clinch, so they need to get rid of that and let me KO him. lol On the inside I do alot of bobing n weaving sticking to his chest like glue and hooking the hell out of his body and uppercuts to the head seem to be very effective. BUT your not winning any rounds using my strategy unless it's going 12 rounds.

I actually find uppercuts to be a bit underpowered. Hooks to the head seem to be a lot more effective (which is a shame, because I tend to use uppercuts more when I get inside. I'm trying to change that)

HAHA I STOPPED HIM !!!!! Dropped him in the 3rd. Just like you guys suggested
I worked the jab and was just looking for a nice 12 combo not trying to win each exchange just combo and work off counters. The I started retreating off my jab and letting him close distance..

In the 3rd I jab get distance and anticipate him closing with a modified straight right.... He walks right into it... put his neck on a hinge... He goes down for a 5 count...

He gets up and I stay patient then I double up the jab and retreat again and you guessed it same striaght right as he closes and its good night Irene....

He has beat me like 20 times but the KO was the ultimate justification....

Of course I was losing in the judges eyes until the knockout.

DAM that felt great.... Not just blind punching and praying. Gameplan was executed to perfection. Nothing better than that family.

Why the hell don't they have replay on this dam demo ?
