They took blood out of online play because of people complaining it was too graphic...you have to enter a code now just like back in the days of sega genisis with mortal combat...not sure what it is for xbox ...but for ps3 press square, square, circle, triangle,x,circle,x,x,circle and it will activate cuts and swelling for fights online....

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
Jabs matter and I don't mean the flicker/spam jab. No more guys leading with hooks to the body from 5 feet out. I just send a single jab and the impact and effect is felt in the game. I can now established a jab and work my offense and defense off my jab.
This is the best playing boxing game ever. I know more is needed but this game is a pure joy for me to play. I love working my angles now because my frigging jabs work. Good stuff.Comment

Accuracy is still low. I am getting ~ 25-35% with my slider set.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
Actually I'm pretty satisfied with accuracy. You have to move around more. With that said you have to also be a bit more strategic which is nice. Overall I like the patch.
One downside though. I think it's too easy to get knocked down once you're rocked or once you rock somebody. It seems as though once you're rocked you're going down no matter what. Otherwise I think the stamina rate has worked out nicely.PS4 - CoastalRyan

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
Ok a guy throws 120 punches a round. By 4th round he's staggering. However, he's still able to throw alot of punches & many can be power punches. I see a guy wobbling around I figure he's got nothing. It takes a few more rounds for them to really slow down.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
the patch has completely ruined my online gaming ..i went from having a great record to having a good one..
i think pre patch i was happier... now thats not to say that i dont like whats new to the game with via tuner but .. did they really have to turn to the hitting percentages up and take out the one fall knockouts?
jab spamming to the body is at an all time high at the moment...its annoying and i had answers for it before..but now .....?
..and yes i understand moving around the ring to tire them out and throwing shots to the body.... but last night it seemed like everyone online was using the same exact sorta "issac frost" method with any fighter.. to add, people are using the "sticks and buttons" config for an advantage. once i heard that i knew people werent boxing anymore...
im hoping Ea at least brings back the one hit KO.... people arent covering themselves enough walking into loaded punches.... theyre not respecting the power of your fighters and in my opinion.. its careless ..at least let me make them pay for it again..
ok.. enough venting and complaining. im going back online..Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
I'll need to play more before making up my mind on the new patch, but so far I know it's less fun than before. Fights are more boring. The excitement of 1 punch KO's seems to be gone. Offline, the game is not as good anymore and the CPU gets tired too quickly. The worst part is, I've seen more glitches and freezes post-patch. I really question the decision with this patch. It's too big of a leap from the gameplay they worked on so long. To change the game a month after its release (after great reviews) makes little sense. All it might do it appease some of the hardcore gamers, but even then it was done too late - now other parts of the gameplay will be compromised and we are patches away from it needs to be. That's what happens when you develop a game in one way and then change your mind right after its release.Comment

Re: FN Champions Patch Impressions
Sadly I have to admit that this is the second time EA really let down offline gamers for changes in the online part.
EA MMA did the same and now it is FNC. This is the second time where you see that no testing whatsoever went into balancing offline in the patch. In both MMA and FNC the cpu cannot fight with the new stamina settings and it makes it nearly unplayable for offline matches. Thats why I deleted both the EA MMA patch and the FNC patch. This development is really really sad because tuners are a thing of beauty when done right. In NHL11, I still play offline with a very first tuner version but only because NHL gives me a choice of using the tuner that best suits my taste.
But sadly with regard to fighting games, EA is not alone. I personally still prefer UFC 09 and UFC 10 pre-patch.
What I find really sad todate is that developers do not understand the essence of patching anymore. Patches should be about erradicating glitches, freezes etc. and should in no way alter gameplaychoices done by the dev. I mean we have demos, so everyone can make up his/her mind beforehand about the game and if the gameplay suits his/her taste. But if you look at MMA and FNC, the game plays totally, and I mean totally different to the demos. I really can understand why people get really pissed about that. This patching has nothing todo with fixing a problem but with altering the experience.Comment
