I fought someone in MW OWC who was a body jab spammer, or used to be. It's not as effective anymore. Both endurance and conditioning take a bigger hit. If you spam the jab, after the fifth one you are near bottomed out. This guy was trying to adjust to the tuner, he would lunge, spam two jabs and move. I met him halfway on one and stunned him with a power straight, ended the lunging on his part.

He would still come in and spam jab/straight, into my 20 rated blocking. When that wasn't working as much he tried boxing normally. Didn't work, so he went back to body jab spamming. In the 7th round I gave him a taste of his own medicine and body jab spammed a whole to his spine. After that it was a brawl that resulted in my getting caught by a counter cross for a flash KD in the 9th. He would try two power modified punches and be gassed completely. I had 60% stamina at the end of the fight, he had very little.

Oh, and the punch offsetting on the jab to the head...wow. He would rear his arm back for an overhand and my southpaw jab was turned loose! He wouldn't get his power shot off at times because of the doubling of the jab.

THIS is the game I have been wanting. OORAH!

I was able to get one fight in and was floored with how stamina is addressed now. The guy I fought was gassed by the 5th, and I mean gassed like it was the tenth. He even had that sluggish walk going. He was a body jab and step guy but his stamina took such a hit that he was lifeless in the 6th round.

If you think picking your punches was important before, wait until you play with this tuner. Mix it with the accuracy being toned down and it is the best setting this game has seen.

Accuracy has me worried...our fight ended up being a brawl because I wanted to punish his boxing stupidity. We both connected at a 51% clip. I threw 850 punches, he threw 750. We were both gassed, he especially. It was like you said, he could barely walk. I threw 300 jabs, mostly double and triple jabs except for when I spammed his gut for a lesson.

How do u know if the tuner has been activated? And when u say tuner, u aren't talking about the patch that came out yesterday right?

Is it something that needs to be downloaded? It didn't prompt me to download anything and the DLC boxer pack isn't in the store? Is the tuner just for online?

Go online and enter any fight mode and you will be prompted to DL it.

it didn't prompt me I went online went into lobby or fight now i didn't get it.

Just fought a match, I was Ali of course (favorite fighter). My opponent picked Tyson, and fought a spam free boxing match. He threw to the body and head each round, flash kd'd me once even. I played him on the outside, jab, jab, straight, the occasional hook, you know.

I knocked him down 4 times, to his 1. Round 7 it was over. He played like a real boxer, I just used the more effective strategy, kudos to him anyway.

On another note, I went from an 0-2 start when the game came out, to 10-3 after my last win!

offline after the patch and tuner is incredible, they nailed everything

just fought my buddy 4 times and we were in awe of how much better the game is

Damn EA really did there thing with this Patch/Tuner set. Seems like a totally different game. Wonder will this spark some sales???

I think i might have to buy this now! Damn you EA. I'm gonna wait a day or two to hear the full range of impressions but if they stay positive i'm definitely gonna buy it.

Ok the new Patch+Tuner is definitely a step in the right direction

Finally, you have to fight with your mind as well as your stick skills

The stamina drain is much more punishing to wasteful punchers....and you really get that "Im breaking him down in every way" feeling now

I can not reiterate enough how much better this game is without that stupid PB Freeze

Sticking, Moving, and Slipping feel so much better

Working the 1-2 is beautiful

One thing I'll suggest for another tuner

-Good jabs should cause more swelling


Now if we could just get the technical problems(Freezing/bugs/glitches) with this game fixed.....we'd have an emerging star with this one
